McGrady would be coming off the bench and provide us with another ball handler, passer, and someone who can hit an open shot. Kidd is playing on fumes at moment.

Our window is small with this core. Only 2 more years and Amare is gone and we will likely refresh the roster. McGrady is battle tested. He is good for 10 to 15 minutes a night off the bench. Too be honest I dont trust Felton or Kidd to remain healthy without dropping their minutes. Plus McGrady at SG helps with our switching defense. We'd be able to go big with our guards. I'd rather play James White a whole lot more when compared to signing McGrady. T-Mac was awful last year with Atlanta coming off the bench and just as awful the year before with Detroit.

2002 was a good year. McGrady was the scoring champ, STAT was a rookie with loads of upside, Jason Kidd led the league in assists, Rasheed Wallace was an in & out threat struggling to lead an erratic Jailblazers club, and Marcus Camby played only 29 games that year due to injury.
