I stopped at 10 mins, what did he add?
listen at the 20:15 mark.
indiana the real deal.
it comes down to melo: what is the personality of the main guy. an unselfish player will wear well over the course of the season. melo is a gifted player/scorer but is really a B player. SAS tries to distract from the point by saying how nice melo is OFF the court. puhleeze. kobe and melo similar in that neither make others better but bryant is better than melo and has had better teammates.
melo's game works in college but in the NBA it is about the 2nd 3rd 4th players.
why do we always ask "will X get along with melo?"
melo unbelievable scorer and gifted player but he is not a giver. his game wears people out over a season.
shumpert is valuable.
he asks for patience. let the season play out. he doesn't think they beat the heat or the pacers or the rose-led bulls.
he thinks that melo as the superstar is not a title team-- good team yes, title no. he needs a really strong number 2 to make him change up his game-- like billups was.
melo is brilliant but flawed.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
