This type of play would free up all the other Knicks scorers and he could anchor our last line of defense.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

And this...

I found that funny at the time because I think he'd only just checked in the game. I have missed him- I was against signing him, but was happy to be proved wrong- hope he can come back and finish out the season.

Individually maybe not, but what he brings to the table the knicks do not possess collectively. Rasheed Wallace playing is necessary for the knicks.

yea it probably is necessary for the team,

can you imagine if, for miami or the clippers or the thunder, they said "well, if this 40 year old guy comes back, this team can compete",

+1

To rely on Wallace or Camby to change the teams fortunes is asking for a lot. I believe the team needs a move to bring in a sg. Pf is a concern but Amare can stay healthy he will bring stability to the position. I feel the most unsteady position on the Knicks is the sg position. I'm not a JR Smith fan I don't think he brings consistency enough to rely on him. Shumpert is a year away from beig productive. Brewer I feel should get more run same with Copeland. I like Copeland and would like to use him as a PF and SF back up. Camby and Wallace if they return will be good for 5-10 minutes thats about it if that.

The team has talent but I feel Woody is holding the team back and he is leaving wiggle room in the teams mind that losing is ok and a division is the only thing that they are after not best record.

If Sheed scares his own coach(Woodson) I can imagine what opposing teams fears playing against him alongside a healthy Amare and Melo

I dont think Sheed will make that big of difference. We were playing great because we moved the ball hit A Lot of threes and played great team defense. those 3 things have been missing for a while now

His veteran leadership on the court not on the bench made a big difference. Moving the ball is how Rasheed was taught to play at Carolina, this only rubs off on other players just like when Kidd and Prigi started passing the ball around. Veterans leading the way.

Thats nice and all but Sheed wasnt playing much minutes and he has been on the bench when injured so he wasnt the reason why we got off to the good start

When he did play before the injury he was taking big men on the perimiter because of his range, tell what other bigman on our roster playing center did that to open up the middle ? We need all the different looks we can get to make other teams try and match up with us for a change.

He was pretty streaky from 3, but overall had a nice impact when he was playing.

Rasheed Wallace’s injury may force Knicks to sign Kenyon Martin or Lou Admundson

"Rasheed Wallace’s struggle to return from a stress fracture in his left foot has caused the Knicks to consider signing free agent Kenyon Martin or Lou Admundson, according to sources in a Hoopsworld.com report.

Wallace has missed 21 games after being one of the Knicks’ surprise stories in his comeback from a two-year retirement. The 38-year-old was averaging 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in almost 15 minutes per game to give the team a front-court presence.

Coach Mike Woodson recently contradicted reports that Wallace’s season was over by telling reporters he would return to play after the All-Star break.

Martin, who has played with Knicks Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith, Marcus Camby and Jason Kidd, is an unrestricted free agent who last played with the Clippers in 2011-12.

Amundson, who has played with Knicks Amar’e Stoudemire and Ronnie Brewer, is an unrestricted free agent who averaged 1.6 points and 2.4 rebounds for the Timberwolves before being waived".

Please be Kenyon Martin! I've wanted Kenyon Martin in a Knicks uniform since last offseason. Would love to add his overall toughness to our squad moving forward.

But then again, this is what Woodson stated 3 days ago...

"Wallace (foot) is expected to see no more than nine or 10 minutes per night when he returns, SNY.tv reports. "He'll never be 100 percent," coach Mike Woodson said". (about 3 days ago)

Kenyon Martin has never played with Ronnie Brewer. He has played with Camby and Felton.
