Think NY could avoid any big trades at Feb. 21 deadline,
the hated HEAT signing of Chris Anderson journey Forward/Center may not seem like much statwise for minutes usage

However Anderson is type of guy whom don't care about nothing in terms of ego's OR has guts to knock somebody on their butts which drives to the lane OR going for uncontested baskets. Anderson isn't the greatest role player and does not guranteee the HEAT a 2nd title in 2 yrs but he improves their chances which is a concern as a Knick fan Or NBA who want Miami to lose.

Anderson is a Rodman, Laimbeer type, Zo Mourning & Oakman type, whom dont give a damn about T's(technicals) being friends with NBAers
will take a coaches scorn to prove his minutes on the floor. Our Knickerbockers ain't got that Sh_t which is 1 small reason we get
the business and recent disrespect around the league cause NO ONE is afraid of NY Knicks or their W/L record anymore as even moreso
in the Garden home gym.

Sure it may or may not be borderline dirty but that aint the point. The objective is if you cant play consistent D as the Knicks
you should like Knick former analyst John Andriese says knock someone out of their comfort zones which none of these current Knick patsies aside from Tyson Chandler occasionally can do.

JOHN ANDARIESE:

The Knicks guards and rest of players will always support a teammate but fact of matter every winner team has a dirty work
regular role player whom comes in game to give some game changing presence and energy, force to make opposition see it will not
be always simple baskets OR dunks.

KThomas is old and do not get the minutes for some of the things he did, as a winner for past Knicks teams whom had good records
and won alot.

Today, Spurs, Heat, Bulls, Memphis, OKC, Celtics, & Pacers alot of successful teams got these 1 or 2 type players even the Brooklyn Nets
in Reggie Evans & disdained K.Humphries.

Note this if an older role guy like Kurt Thomas wasn't on the team the Knickerbocker current roster has none !

Question can Knicks pick up someone a experienced NBAer whom meets this ? likely some journeyman player whom isn't too old and plays
with force, grit and hustle, but will whack you if physical game is being played.

Dolan wasn't bringing him in after that incident over the summer. Wishful thinking.

Tyson does this "selfless" role play for us.

An energy guy off the bench would be nice. We call him "camby". We call him "sheed".

Others call them injured. It would be nice if we can get them back.

Kenyon Martin? Or does that just make too much sense for the Knicks?

If Melo gets hurt, and he does miss games from time to time we need Flight White to step in. Same for Cope.

Problem now is we bought in Pablo and while he plays well, is he really able to give us what we need? Can't cut a guy we bought from overseas and moved his family. Cut Sheed? Grunny would fear for his life.

So the question is who goes?

Sheed
Priggy
Copeland
White

Is sheed done?

Camby is a better player than KMart. With Melo and JR they know Kmart all too well. Perhaps they don't want him.

Sheed. He's 38 years old, has a "stress reaction", and the Knicks FO has stated that he's not going to be 100% for the rest of the season.

How about I skip your list and go to Thomas? I honestly think something will happen with White after the all-star break. Just a feeling

Ever since Spree performed his obscenity laced tirade towards little Jimmy, the days of Oakley/Spree/Mason type players are done in Gotham. That is why little Jimmy likes to put muzzles on his team. He is not going to allow Chris Andersen types in this roster. Face it, we have the stupidest owner in the history of the world.

But we have JR smith? Dude has a rep for being a head case. Im not saying he is not worth the risk but he has baggage.

I forgot about Kurt (duh!), but same thing about inviting a vet to come and play then cut him.

Kurt has played up to his contract and age so I don't know if you cut a guy. Its not good business in the future.

Melo might have vouched for him and JR has been a pretty good citizen right now.

you know, I always thought that was over the top, but watching this team year after year you can find its pretty easy to understand the kind of things that would have had Spree spewing that kind of nastiness

Anderson was a really good signing for Miami. I think the Knicks are standing pat because Woodson wants Sheed back.

Agree,
But face it if camby nor sheed aint back by next wk or prior to feb. Ending it
Makes sense for ny to trade for someone, whom? That is will be 1million dollar question.

Whom is out there? PF/C

Milshap of Utah?

It would be impossible to pass on Milsap. But we really need back-court help.

We don't need to trade for a big unless some team wants to gift us someone. Kenyon Martin is available to sign as a free agent and would fill a gaping hole on our team.

Shawn Marion would be nice. He could be the Knicks' better version of Battier. It want happen but it is a thought. If their is an addition they need to be an offensive and defensive threat.

Not saying Dallas would do it but

Camby
Novak
Iman
Future 1st round pick
Filler's

Marion
Brandon Wright

is the only chance that Dallas would even consider it, while Marion could play the athletic/versatile defender at SF/PF we could use on Lebron/Durant and the top SF's in the league

I wonder if JJ is available with expirings, I would love to welcome Jeffries back to give some help to our defense, and compliment TC/Iman's DEF
He has a 3 year deal at about 5m total, we miss his DEF, ability to set pick's off the ball, and his mobility/footwork/ability to draw charges
He barely play's in Portland, I am not sure how his knee/injuries are, but he was a big part of our run last year with Lin/Tyson/Iman
Great glue player that is familiar with our players/team/system/coach on limited minutes/friendly contract

How many times can JJ comeback. You does he think he is the Dark Knight?
