A trade I could see happening is if Brooklyn is involved but not sure how it could benefit us to be involved. Probably would take a 30 teamer to get it done.

I was against trading Tyson for Howard last year but this starting lineup and Melo desperately needs a big that can dominate inside and get easy bucks. Not just pick n roll Tyson alley oops. Howard is also a more dominate defensive player. Blocks more shots and stronger in the post. Tyson is wirey and easily out muscled.

Melo, Howard with Amare off the bench would be special. Trade for Ridnour

C-Howard
PF-Melo
SF-Shump
SG-JR
PG-Felton

Bench Amare, Ridnour, Kidd, Amundson, Cope

Maybe one of these guys go KT, Sheed & Camby

This was never debatable it wasn't on the table, the NBA would fine us if we attempted to start discussions by not putting it on the table. Actually we might still get fined if attempted because we have no way of putting more 1st rounders on the table.

I would do it. Aside from the last few years Howard hasn't made waves. His value probably is as low as its going to be for the next few seasons. His injuries, his problems with Kobe might be enough to field offers. Melo and Howard are both happy go lucky kind of players and I get the feeling they would get along.

A healthy Howard on the inside would give us us more scoring in the paint, and Melo being able to score from anywhere would make this team hard to stop. We wouldn't be giving up defense or rebounding, we would be adding more inside scoring and drawing more double teams.

The more this season goes on the more it looks like Chandler is playing like someone who already has a ring and a DPOY. It would be a risk no doubt but the payoff could be huge.

Absolutely. And Howard is and always was a better defender

Question is would the Lakers do it. They could do a lot better than Tyson for Howard

Dantoni does like Tyson and Novak

I don't think Dwight is going to be the same player he once was a dominant C, not this season at least
