Coach Woodson just confirm that shump isnt going ANYWHERE. Also wallace and camby will be back shortly (a week) after ASG
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Yea he said sheed back shortly after asb and camby a little further down the line. Blamed the defense on the guards not getting over pick n roll and the bigs not stepping up quick enough. So that goes for felton kidd shump amare melo JR pretty much the whole team

Now ESPN radio is discussing: Amare ($19mil) traded for Kris Humphries ($12mil), Brooks and Teletovic...im sure it wont happen, theyre just talking about it

Anyone who thought the Knicks were on the verge of trading Iman Shumpert should truthfully get a grip of reality.

This kid made a name for himself, as only a rookie, as being one of the greatest perimeter defenders in all of basketball. We weren't about to give that up. Not for a career 8.9 points per game type of player in Dudley (of all players) we weren't. It was laughable in regards to the fans who were talking "trade Iman Shumpert" as if we were on the verge of landing an elite NBA talent.

Iman Shumpert can guard the 1/3 position(s) with the overall athletic ability/defensive potential and/or hunger on the defensive end of the court to become our very own Joe Dumars, Scottie Pippen, Gary Payton, Bruce Bowen, Ron Artest, Shane Battier, Tony Allen and/or Mike Conley type of perimeter defender.

This kid is only 22 years of age with overall athletic abilities in which go through the roof, and he's only been back from injury for 12 games. How quickly some forgot that Shumpert and Chandler changed the entire culture of our New York defense last season.

Much respect to Carmelo Anthony for making it known, that our Knicks were not about to trade away our only young/up and coming NBA talent. Props to Mike Woodson for pretty much stating the same. This could become the type of team/player/franchise support in which gives Shumpert extra fire/confidence moving forward.

If that happened I would throw up- for me even the thought of getting rid of Amar'e AND replacing him with my most hated player in Humphries makes me completely understand how TKF must feel watching this team with Melo. And how come no one blasts the Nets signing of Teletovic? He absolutely stinks! 3 air balls in a row? One of the worst players and signings- and he almost got the full MLE!

Make that deal and forget about the championship for the next 3yrs

Knicks are 2nd place in the east. After that deal Chicago, Indiana, Brooklyn & Boston shoot right past us in the standings and we get to face Miami in the 1st round again and Watch Melo try to beat them on his own AGAIN

He's been terrible and people complain about Novak. Marshon would be interesting but he can't even get playing time on a pathetic Nyets team because he doesn't defend a lick. Worse player than JR

None of these deals will happen. I think the biggest acquisition will be Sheed when he returns or KMart, if Sheed CANT return

so no gunsnewing...i dont believe the hype..and im not influenced by what i listen to...dont shoot the messenger...lol

I agree Sheed and camby eventually returning is key. Adding another big would be nice but at the right price. Draft a backup PG

Woodson is not in a position to make this statement regarding Shumpert being traded. I do want Shumpert to stay but Woodson should have not said anything at all. There is no real way to predict what offers the Knicks will get between and the deadline and some offer might be too good to reject.

I actually think it is good because it says that he is a valuable commodity and it will take a lot to pry him away from the Knicks. IMHO

He is the coach...Don't u think the GM consults with him on deals like this...They are looking to tweak something to get over the hump, coach has to tell the GM what he needs..

Yet he said the day before he can't guarantee anything.

but for the rocrd he didn't say Shump would not get traded, he uttered no such words.

That's not saying alot.
