hey the play of the knicks have been very inconsistent to say the least the past month or so. also last nights game was so hideous and i was in attendance there! i was surrounded by obnoxious philly fans so it wasnt exactly a pleasant experience. it was the worst game i have seen the knicks play in person: EVER ( to be honest, i did not fgo see them play during the thomas era either). however, i am still optimistic about this team. they are still ranked high in most categories in the league. they still have the second best record in the east and only 2 or 3 games out of the number one seed. no one is blazing it up in the east along with us. we are still rounding out our lineup and gett ing chemistry will be key. what i saw from amare was very encouraging as he has a spring to his step. the schedule towards all star break is still ideal for us and the time to gain ground and seperate. we have a talented team and a good coach. we can have bad stretches. every team has it. hell, even oklahoma city did in november. they just have to show resolve and this is the reason we have veteran players who have been through it. to keep plugging away. lets see what we do tonight before urinating on this team.

Nobody is jumping off the ledge. However you nailed it when you said that inconsistentcy has been an issue since mid December. Look I didnt expect them to play at the rate they did the first month but they have been a very hot and cold team every other game

well, with the amount of adversity they dealt with since december, it is expected. not to say that no other team has to deal with it but it is still a problem. again we are still in a great position though we have to fight a lot more than a month ago.

Totally agree we have plenty of time. I would just like a nice 5 game winning streak or winning 8 of 10 in order to get some seperation. So far its been win a game lose a game that needs to end

I don't know, I'm at the ledge, here's why:

We're in the big three in terms of market size but we're not on the map when it comes to championships,

what's wrong with that? a lot, this is ****ing new york, the center of the universe, and we can't bring a championship home?

I was under the impression that the salary dumps to chase big names were done with the intention of bringing the trophy home,

what do we have here? another team that will win some regular season games but never challenge for the title,

everyone says the clippers owner was bad, but at least when he sucked the team sucked too, they were consistent,

our owner sucks but does just enough to string us along for another season, dolan is easily the worst owner in the history of the universe.

I'm at the ledge dude,

This is not really on point. We have a good team that has been inconsistent in play and effort for the last 6 weeks. That's why I'm on the ledge. There was an edge about this team you could see and feel early on. Now they're getting complacent for some odd reason. They haven't done **** yet to let complacency set in.

There is no doubt that the knicks have to wake up because this is the year where it might be our best shot. As everyone knows we dont have a young team. Our only valuable young player is shumpert and he has already ha done bad injury. Camby and Sheed are very important for playoffs BUT its tough to rely on them because they are injured often. Melo has played great most of the year but he is starting to go through a slump recently and the same goes with JR. All i want is for this team to play hard and well up until the ASB and get some speration from the nets and maybe take over the top spot in the East

Papabear Says

I wonder what thier conditioning is. For JR to miss everything last night it tells me he may have been back in the clubs again and took Melo with him while lolo was out of town.

Your right, THE EAST IS WIDE OPEN, miami can be beat..The issue is, It's so tight that a 3 game losing streak can sink you to the 7th spot. We can't take these games lightly..Home court for the 1st and 2nd rnd is an absolute must.

Ppl look at the 99 season and think we were a 8th seed fairy tale story. but the truth is, we were 5 or 6 games out of 1st place in a lockot 50 game season..

The ledge is starting to look like an option

I'm at the ledge dude,

i understand that. look i have been a knick fan since the 80's and saw the likes of great players like king and ewing and still no championship from them. i came to realize that winning in the nba is much harder than most sports where money can solve many problems ( baseball) or lucky breaks here or there can win you a championship when there is parity in the league ( football). now, with that said, we have a team right now that can get it done. we seem to forget what we looked like before. teams have adjusted but again we did simple things that helped us win like hustle and passing the ball to get the open man and cut down on isos. those are easy problems to fix and get right back into it. we just have to have that fire. like someone said, we are getting complacent and we did not earn the right to be like that like miami or san antonio. we will see the effort tonight to better gauge.

The Knicks are due for a title. Its been a while since the early 70's and the 90's they came so close so many times. If the Knicks can stay healthy in may/june and play like they did in november then there is a good chance. After suffering from 2002-2012 it would be rewarding for knicks fans to finally have a title

I've been on the ledge for 10 years+. Frankly I don't think I could survive on the outside (of the ledge).

At this point the legde is very wide. Its comfortable and what makes it comfortable is that the better team usually wins.

I'm at the ledge dude,

In some odd way, having downers posting about looking up at the Clippers franchise makes me very happy to be a Knicks fan.

Go stand on the ledge. I'm happy sitting inside the building in first place.

We are the Yankees. Core of prime players surrounded by veterans.

Which Yankee team?? What vintage? Not sure really but you get my drift.

A few teams were so good they had to win, but many finished in first place but either made the series or fell short.

Ratings were good, the gate was strong and by "winning" they made money. A running starphuch system. YOu can win that way too!

I see the knicks now in this model, they can come out of the east or make conf. finals. Its a money making season for Dolan. Funny this should happen the year NEts move to brooklyn.

Im not on the ledge cuz I don't have those expectations for the team that would put me there.

How can I be on the ledge if I jumped years ago?

I'll enjoy the season for sure. If we melt down the second half then its not like "We had it won and lost it", its "we got off to a great start but then fell into the reality of the team".

Can't expect the roster to be healthy all season long. IF so, we could contend.

Im not giving up on this team because we are built for the playoffs.

We need to finish top 4 seed. If not, be healthy. If not, have fun!

I don't know about ledge, because i'm not a ledge person. Not asking for a whole lot, BUT, if we come up against the Nets in the playoffs, I really want to beat them down

Only dependable person on this team is Melo. I was expecting much wider without Amare.

Knicks front office know this as well.
