Solid #NBA source tells me the Boston @Celtics are fearing a possible torn ACL for Rajon #Rondo. Results from MRI coming soon. Updates ASAP.

Wow!!!!

the celtics werent making much noise anyway but they might end up with a good pick now. Plus Garnett and Pierce have proven that they can play at a high level at their age

I think there's a good chance that this will be a catalyst for Ainge to blow up the team. If Rondo did tear his ACL he probably won't be back to full strength until 2014-15 at which point Boston will definitely be too old to compete if they're not already.

Yahoo sports is saying he has an ACL tear and is out for the season- tough break for them. I hate the celtics but I hate injuries more- robs us of a potentially great playoff showdown. A real shame.

wow tough break for the celtics.

i agree this may be the ideal time to move some big pieces and reload. i'd love either garnett or pierce on the knicks.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Would love to face Boston as the 8th seed without them having Rondo.

Let's lock up the #1 seed moving forward. Get that 1 vs 8 matchup. I still feel Boston makes it as the 8th seed.

Celtics will blow it up now Rondo's down, don't see them making the playoffs without Pierce- looks like the east just got weaker, which is a shame as a basketball fan.

They can still make it. The east is awful. Don't know if its in their best interest tho. Better off getting the lotto pick

So what are probably landing spots for Pierce, KG, and Jason Terry? I think Pierce to Indy for a package including Granger makes a lot of sense. And maybe KG to Golden State? He could give them some of the toughness and post defense they really need.

They can make it but they'll get embarrassed in the first round. KG and Pierce still have good trade value. They could set their team up quite nicely for the future if they make some good moves. Rondo will probably be ready for the start of next season.

Why would Indiana want Pierce for Granger?

KG to GS would be awesome, but who would KG displace? Also GS likes their youth.

Granger's been hurt all season and I think is pretty overrated; he's a solid guy not a guy you build an offense around. GS is starting Festus Ezeli at center with Andris Biedrins backing him up, KG would be a massive improvement over that.

Not really sure- do teams not called the Knicks still trade young players and picks for aging players that only have a season or two left? I don't think the Celtics are going to get too much for Pierce (best case would be Rudy Gay) and KG has a no trade clause so he won't go to a poor team with lots of picks or young players. Terry has looked poor this season- does he have any value?

I'm going under the assumption that a team that's not quite a title contender would look at them as guys who could get them over the top. Teams like Brooklyn, Indiana, and Atlanta in the East and Golden State and Denver in the West.

Wow. Kyle Lowry is reportedly available in Toronto. Not sure if the Celts have what it would take to get him but it would make sense to make a run at him if they have any playoff aspirations.
