It was quite enterteining team early in the season.
Some winning, some drama, emotions, comraderie...
And then suddenly somebody let the air out...
WTF?

I think initially the "leaders" of the team had something to prove. Coach wanted to show ball movement and defense. Melo wanted to show he can play D and exist in a ball movement environment. They looked GREAT. But then ISO ball returned - a bit before Felton got hurt I think. Some players (our starting SG comes to mind) returned back to their regular ways as well. Kidd started playing too many minutes. Lots of things seemed to happen actually. Not too late to right the ship. But the team is not fun to watch when it becomes a one man show. Melo was playing great and I hope he returns to that level of team play - we were a great team earlier.

Of course, the injuries to our two old men didn't help either. But overall, we just need some ball movement and a return of our defensive intensity to come back.

Lack of Focus for the goal. This team is a first round out in the playoffs.

Why is the quality of writing on the board so poor?

The negative reactions predictable and redundant. The entertainment value drops as a poor stretch is treated like reason for outright mutiny and hand wringing. It is depressing.

Sad. Uncreative and dull.

Give something to get something. Work harder. Be creative. Simply Bitching and moaning is sucks.

The obsession with defending Melo is not predictable and redundant?

If he is so great, why must he be constantly defended against "haters"?

Do Durant, Lebron or Chris Paul face this same "hate" on their respective fan forums?

No one woke up and decided to "hate" on Melo for the hell of it,

20-56 last two games

And I use 'Melo' and 'Knicks' interchangeably because what's the difference?

Have to agree. All teams no matter how good they are have games like they did in Philly. This includes poor performances by their star players. The Boston game and all the pre game hype clearly took something out of them. Not to mention the return of Felton didn't provide the boost the team needed. Still plenty of time for him to get back to where he was at the start of the season.

Should they have been more professional and handled their business? We all know the answer to that. Still, games like these happen, no point in going into full freakout mode. The only real concern I have is the overall health of the team by the time the playoffs come around. When its time, I'm confident in Kidd's ability and experience to lead this team either as a starter or off the bench. I'm also confident in a team that has a great deal of championship and playoff experience as well. Once the rotation more or less settles I believe this team will start playing more consistent ball again.

Because Knick fans think they're smarter than they actually are- Ewing got blasted throughout his career to the point that people used to insist we were better off without him. People always complaining he was too selfish and took too many shots, much the same as the attacks on Melo.

Was that all along or only toward the end of Ewing's career?

Is that the best you got?

C'mon, step up the quality of writing from the personal nothingness and bring something that inspires intelligent (and enjoyable) conversation.

Senior moment?

Really?

Earl you quoted yourself without so much as a comment and now you're having a meltdown, why so angry this morning?

I think the problem is that the Knicks have been playing no defense, featuring an ISO offense, and putting forth minimal effort in a number of games prior to the Philly game last night. We've seen that theyre better than this so its all the more frustrating when they dont play like it.

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I'm usually one to agree with optimism and subscribe to the "bad games happen" fact. However, I agree that this team is not playing with the same desire. We've been very average since mid December. We are incorporating Shump, Felton and stat back in. But I'd like to see some of that November basketball pretty soon so I don't loose complete faith that this is a contender.

I never really like the guy at all, and I stated many times why.. but he is just part of the problem, dolan is the bigger problem, and as long as dolan runs this team like some spoiled fat little kid, we are going to see many more "carmelo's" come through this organization at the expense of the fans.....
