It finally occurred to me who shump reminds me of....spreewell!..the way he plays defense and attacks the rim. Streaky outside shooter.

Im happy hes back...fun to watch

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

yes Spree especially defensively, with some of Wade's playmaking ability

call me Crazy but he reminds me of Kobe. Except his (Shump's) swag doesn't come across as forced as Kobe's did when he was younger.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

i'll alaways say he's Jordan Very Lite, guy can lock you down, he'll dunk it, he'll slash it, the only thing that sucks is his FG%

I was very excited end of last year, I thought a Lin/Shump backcourt was going to be the future. Damn shame we only kept half that pair (we even tried trading Shump for Nash )

Shump is awesome. Dont get too attached

so where does he end up? Denver, Houston, Golden state or Portland.. LOL.. Just kidding.. yea, i thought shump/lin would be the future back court, but that would take an owner with a brain and a plan, and a front office with some balls to stand up to the impetuous and childish, moronic owner... but hey, as you said.. don't get too attached...

Shump for Andre Miller and the ever present entitlement required first round pick.

Is sit safe to say and compare Shump to Payton lite? If Shump had a money jumper, he would be Payton.

Shump as Clyde without the jumper, court vision and Furs?

Shump as as Michael Ray but not as good?

Shump as Avery Bradley?

Shump as Thunder Dan Majarle?

I don't see Spree in Shump. I do see a jacked up Gary Payton. The Glove 2.0 would be great.

We came very, very close to trading him to the Suns for Nash this offseason, I think- thankfully the Lakers stepped in and saved us from ourselves.

I see Shump's potential as Gary Payton on steroids as well.

He can have a similar effect on Defense but, looking at his physical mannerisms, I don't see any Gary Payton there.

Shump is a lot bigger than Spree and a stronger finisher in the halfcourt

and Fish you are 100% correct. Don't get too attach. That would be a tough one to take considering he's been my favorite knicks since that interview after draft day

they sure did, but honestly, the way this team is built, getting nash actually made sense, but you can even see in LA that the ball tends to end up in the hands of kobe when it should be in nash hands a bit more.. i was afraid the same thing could and would happen here had nash come.. so maybe it worked out for the best.. for us at least....

Shump isn't even close to the finisher Spree was "YET." I can see him getting there but, he hasn't been putting the Spree Tomahawk down and rarely dunks the ball (going back to last season) though he will try from time to time. He doesn't even slash as much as Spree did but I can see the comparison.

I said Shump is a stronger finisher in the HALFCOURT. Spree was faster in the open court but wasn't strong enough to be dunking on people in the halfcourt

Both he and Spree at 6'5. But I see more Wade offensively. Defensively Shump and Spree like to get steals. Shump might actually become a better shooter
