Improvisation.

“I’m pretty good at broken plays, making something out of nothing, and I can apply pressure to guards, both offensively and defensively. So that’s what I’m looking to add."

Making something out of nothing is a rarely discussed. It is a Shumpert trait also shared by Marcus Camby, who is an outstanding weak side helper on defense. Making something out of nothing is best described by JR Smith draining an off balance jumper from a contorted body angle reserved for the trampoline.

“I don’t really care. I feel like we’ve got a team that could win a championship — that’s all I ever wanted. I don’t really care if I start or not. Woody brings J.R. [Smith] off the bench every game, and he’s an All-Star. I don’t really care how [much] I play, just as long as we win.

What is the single most important thing your favorite Knicks player adds to this team?

Pablo understands how to win a championship, the guy has won many overseas as the pg , now he's learning how to play the NBA game.

If they would listen to Kidd and Pablo about moving the ball and going Iso when necessary, the sky is the limit for this roster when healthy. What he brings is contagious, I can't wait to see Shump Prigioni and JR on the court at the same time, those boys will be wreckin teams chemnistry by jumping passing lanes and stripping the ball.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

The first breakaway steal off a point guard leading to a rim rocking dunk will give me tears of joy

I know it's a cliche about players defense being contagious, but with Shump last season it was 100% true- team seemed to get motivated when they saw him locking down on defense.

Really looking forward to seeing Shump back on the court. He had the right attitude and I really hope he finds his game soon. Adding his D to this team when fully healthy will be really tough for teams to deal with.

Chandler
Camby
JR
Shump
Prigs

Nice unit for D.

I worry about his lateral movement when he first gets back. I know he has been cleared to play (or will be) but, to put him on any of the quicker guards where he will need his lateral movement, I'm afraid he might strain something if he tried to get too intense
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I doubt that seriously, they put put him through some pretty tough tests before they give him the nod..were not rushing him so I expect a 100% healthy shump

i completely agree, but the trainers have been working with him on that and i am sure he's been doing that during practice too. he will get beaten the first 2-3 weeks by some of the quickest guards and he has to just accept that for the time being.

Stop it, please. Iman is no PG and never will be. The deeper we fall into the "Iman Should be a PG" mentality, the more we will hate him. The quicker we get out of it, the quicker we will love him. He's a scorer first and a very very good one.

JR Smith play's PG duties for us and no one would ever see that coming
He is still young and it is a possibility that he can have some of those duties

We all want him to DEFEND the PG position because he has the ability to disrupt our opponents offense
Luckily we have Felton/Kidd that would allow him to do so, but who know's what Iman will become in a couple of years as he continues to learn off KIDD

Look Andrew spoke and I'm letting it go. I will just work on being what I am, a die hard Knicks fan who enjoys watching Melo lite them and who believes in his team and enjoy having fun on this forum. I never was kicked off of a forum and I don't plan to now so let it go. peace

Might be a while. Let's see if he can move side to side on defense first and knock down some open shoots. Hopefully he is able to penetrate and finish in time for the playoffs

Anything is better that those shots from Brewer you know right away aren't going in.

Even though he only played 15 minutes iman showed why he was a draft steal. The kid makes a big difference defensively. I cant wait until he is 100% because he will help bigtime. Also his offense is getting better
