New York Knicks' owner James Dolan reportedly order several MSG employees to record every word said by Carmelo Anthony in Friday's game against the Bulls.

Dolan wanted the tape from the game sent directly to him.

Anthony was suspended for Thursday's game following his altercation earlier in the week with Kevin Garnett.

Even as much as I dislike Melo and think he's still a mental midget I wouldn't resort to tactics like this. Not sure what Dolan's motive is here. There hasn't been anything I can discern that suggest Melo is a target of NBA players for trash talk. When reflecting on the validity of this story it makes you think back to the Frank Isola piece on Dolan stationing Garden officials throughout the arena stalking reporters and fans being thrown out of the arena for excessive booing and unfavorable sign making. Dolan is a very Bizarre owner all the way around.

read the article, the whole article.

Do you seriously believe the only thing being picked up on the mic is what melo says? You guys are slow.

Maybe I am wrong, but what I got from it is Dolan is actually trying to hear the type of trash talk that is being said to melo. My guess is that if he picks up something like what KG said he would send it to the NBA to have the player suspended. KG never gets suspended because its hard to prove exactly what he says.

bull****. I don't believe everything these fools wright and hopefully you don't either. How often is one thing reported only for us to learn something new. Probably some media nut pissed at his lack of access.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

probably many are slow, but for the ones that will not read the article, it is a better idea to tell us what you think idea behind it is,

that's a better idea than calling fellow posters slow

Bingo. amazing that when someone reads something Dolan did they instantly think dumbass WITHOUT actually reading.

Execs do this all the time, for instance Ferry did it when Rondo bumped the ref, there was not going to be an investigation because the league did not know it since the ref didn't call a tech, Ferry sent in the tape, his own personal recording.

Cuban has recordings of the game activities and always sent them in, Ferry just did it and Rondo got a one game suspension for something the league didn't even know happen.

Yeah but isnt Cuban sending in video tapes of fouls and/or missed calls? Same with Ferry. I dont know what Dolan plans to do with audio of things said on the court but I also dont think much can be done about it once its sent to the NBA unless he catches some refs saying some things they shouldnt.

What in the actual **** is wrong with this man? Best case scenario, Dolan's acting like an overprotective mother whose child is being picked on. Worst case? I don't even want to attempt to understand what goes on in Dolan's head.

I dont know if you watched the game yesterday but i distinctly heard the refs tell Melo and Woodson to "shut up", in those exact words.

Cuban send in "unfair treatment" Ferry sent something that was a blatant rule violation that the ref allowed.

I did watch but I didnt hear that. Was that when Breen kept talking about how the ref was saying "enough!" to Tyson and JR?

I may have misread your post but I thought you were saying that Dolan wants to send in audio tapes of the trash talking to goes on. If you're actually talking about the officials and all that then I already agree with you.
