2-4 weeks actually is a relief. Wally was talking in the post game how he missed a sh** ton of games with the same injury.

We'll you have to consider where the 2-4 weeks is coming from. That would be the New York Knicks organization

Which means more like 6-8 weeks of day to day

I dont mind Camby because he at least is a big and provides rebounding and can play center.

Kurt Thomas is a candidate to be cut to add Martin.

As long as Camby is back by April to get a few games in and be ready for the playoffs I will take it at this point.

Hoping Shump and Sheed return on Martin luther king day vs the Nyets and then Felton shortly after

Has there been any word on Sheed? Usually when someones on the verge of return, we find out.

Agreed. He is a bit of a slow healer though, so I think he'll be longer than 2 to 4 weeks. Felton is aiming for the Nets game too, though that might be just blind optimism on his part. By then, hopefully Amar'e will be back up to speed too.

Felton needs to sit out until he is 100% even if it means coming back in Feb. Really not worth risking another broken hand and completely derailing the season. If that were to happen I say tank and try to win the lottery while we have a pick!

camby is old as hell, but its almost hilarious how he was unable to stay on the floor at all while he was here as a youngsta, he leaves and becomes the model of health for over a decade, he comes back and we go right back to square one w/ non-stop injuries.

Yeah it's a little suspicious. I was excited about the signing because he had been so healthy after he left but this is pretty disappointing. I don't see how he will be ready for the post season if he doesn't get back soon - he is getting older and he has to have a considerable amount of rust at this point. We need him too which makes it worse. Maybe they are just preserving him but I doubt it.

I never heard of "Planter Fasciitis" before Camby got it years ago.

Now I have it myself but not to the degree it keeps me off the tennis court.

Its a tough word to spell.

Seems like Kenyan Martin would be a perfect fit with Sheed and KT. Practice would be a hoot to watch as those old guys go at it.

guys like Camby were brought in for the playoffs. As long as he and Sheed are ready to go by them, I'm ok
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Well said DurzoB. Enough whining over the things you cannot control. Forward.

plantar fasciitis is caused by weak foot muscles, because guys are walking around with shoes and sneakers all the time,

i'm barefoot 80% of time time in spring summer and fall, you'll only catch me with shoes on if I REALLY have to wear shoes somewhere,

people just aren't meant to wear footwear all the time, at least not cushioned footware, with 'supports',

support decreases the body's workload, result is atrophy and then the problems come,

same idea behind lifting weights, you need to lift heavy things for strength, our natural condition is strength but modern life 'supports' our body just like cushions support the foot: atrophy and general health problems,

if everyone trained for strength, we would have world peace in a year, I guarantee it.

---

on camby, i think this is another one of those bogus injuries knicks is using to rest our old big guys so that they will be fresh for playoffs,

you play the old guys for a stretch to keep them warm, then you give them a few weeks rest, chill out a little,

I first heard of it when we picked up Glen Rice. Its the reason he kept citing for his inability to play.

Its too bad, Camby was starting to move up and down the court quite well after he lost a few pounds. Might have pushed himself too hard because he felt better. Still plenty of time to get well. Same goes for Sheed.

OBM is back!

I love the posts by which you post those things that make you better than most people.

Most of us really have to wear shoes. Most employment opportunities kinda makes it the norm.

I think most pro athletes don't get this condition and guess they are wearing athletic footware when they work.

Do you think that beach volleyball players suffer from this?
