I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty sure I'd buy a Rougarou t-shirt or hat.

Mosquitos is a terrible name and the Bullsharks and Swamp Dogs sound like minor league teams or an intramural college squad. I like the history and concept behind it but the actual name, Rougarou, is a little goofy to me. I actually really like the name Pelicans and think it could work pretty well.

Of course, we're named after a type of pants so maybe I shouldn't be talking about other team's names.

Only thing I remembered when visiting New Orleans in 2000, was "Show your tits! Show your tits!" on Bourbon Street for Mardi Gras. That and Po Boys, Beignets and King Cakes and Hurricanes.

New Orleans Titties has a nice ring!

Yea Pelicans is kinda wack. It should be New Orleans Jazz. Utah gets to be the Salt Lakers,

Florida where I'm at is mostly known for Gators. Not so much New Orleans.

Pelicans is the state bird.

Fear the Pelican? Not really in fear of the Blue Jay or the Cardinal.

Should be Jazz but they in Salt Lake a lot longer than they ever in Nola.

Lakers are of course from Minnesota.

" Rougarou " looks like something to fear.
