The roll that Melo is on is reminding me of Bernard King. This is the 2nd came in a row that I had that thought as Melo was scoring all over the place. King went a similar roll after after the '83 or '84 allstar game when he torched the rest of the league. I think Melo is having that same type of experience, only its coming after the Olympics

Heard on ESPN radio that there will be no X-rays.

Melo looked down at his leg to X-ray himself and it was negative.

The SportsCenter Highlights with the NBA Jam fire ball when Melo is shooting is funny.

Woodson said it is a slight ankle sprain, according to the folks at Posting and Toasting. I think we can breath a sigh of relief.

Melo said it was his ankle, knee and hip tho. Knicks are known to cover up injuries. Woodson is like Bellichek in that regard

I think Melo and Kobe came to play this game. But at the end the better team won. This is also why you need another go to scorer like Stat. Too bad they both play the same position!

no Melo is a SF plays more on the wing. Amare is a 50% plays around the paint and rebs like a PF

Fingers crossed - check
Hands crossed-check
Legs crossed, eyes crossed
Balls crossed. . .everything crossed.

It looked like a sprain, hopefully no serious damage.

Everything you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear- George Adair

I wouldn't say he rebounds like a PF but I do not believe that he will cauuse spacing issues. People help of off Brewer all the time and that's why he is open. I think Amar'e in this offense will be a great fit. I think if Woody challenge STAT to get 10 he could avg it.

haha that WAS funny as hell.

WHERE THE MELO HATERS AT???!!! Burying their heads in the sand.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

if you follow Melo's career he's always struggled a bit with balance between playing in the paint and shooting jumpers. Too many jumpers and he ends up with those 10-28 shooting nights and thats not the good Melo. Too much play in the paint and you can see his body starts to take a beating and he misses games.

Stat will really help (remember no Camby either) and getting Melo back to SF will be huge. Melo at PF is like David Lee at center. Sure it looks good at times and the numbers are gaudy but its not a long term ideal solution. After 20 games at PF you can already see the wear and tear.
