2013 NBA ALL-STAR BALLOTING PRESENTED BY SPRINT WESTERN CONFERENCE
Frontcourt: Kevin Durant (OKC) 605,965; Dwight Howard (LAL) 434,168; Blake Griffin (LAC) 307,855; Tim Duncan (SA) 189,577; Pau Gasol (LAL) 139,868; Kevin Love (Min) 112,922; Omer Asik (Hou) 88,178; Rudy Gay (Mem) 85,279; Serge Ibaka (OKC) 68,285; LaMarcus Aldridge (Por) 66,290; Dirk Nowitzki (Dal) 63,056; Marc Gasol (Mem) 61,716; Zach Randolph (Mem) 59,916; Metta World Peace (LAL) 59,167; Anthony Davis (NO) 53,779.
Backcourt: Kobe Bryant (LAL) 639,419; Chris Paul (LAC) 353,603; Jeremy Lin (Hou) 298,319; James Harden (Hou) 196,108; Russell Westbrook (OKC) 143,437; Steve Nash (LAL) 118,073; Tony Parker (SA) 69,983; Ricky Rubio (Min) 54,744; Manu Ginobili (SA) 47,800; O.J. Mayo (Dal) 36,495.

Melo getting recognition due to his play so far. Chandler needs some help getting in, even though he's 5th in frontcourt votes. Amare at 10th and Felton is a longshot.

It was to be expected, but still surprising that Lin is getting more votes than franchise star teammate James Harden. If Tony Parker, Manu or OJ Mayo don't make the cut due to Lin, that's comical.

Are Garnett and Bosh listed as PFs? If so, that means Tyson is the leading C.

They've taken away the C title for the all star game. Now just Front court and Back court.

Well it's not surprising at all in regards to Lin. Not to bring culture and/or race into this, but Jeremy Lin's not being voted into the all star game due to his overall ability and/or production on the basketball court. He's being voted into the game due to the fact that he's of Asian descent. He's an Asian-American but this doesn't change the fact that Billions of people from China and Asia as a whole is voting for this guy. Basketball is big over there. When they see an Asian in the NBA? They vote, and vote in numbers too. Jeremy Lin could've sat out each and every game, and he'd still get voted into the game. Congrats to Jeremy Lin and his world-wide popularity though.

That Ballot polling is terrible, only Knick I voted for twice was Melo. How is Dwight getting votes, how is Wade the leading guard in Votes, Derron...REALLY???

Why focus on Lin? There are plenty of other players that is getting votes like Nash and Rubio. Don't you find a little ridiculous? For anyone to just focus on Lin says a lot about who they are.

The whole damn ALL STAR BALLOT voting process is ridiculous.

I fully expect both Bosh and Tyson (getting his recognition, especially if we have the #1 record in the East) to make the team as reserves, assuming KG beats them out for the start. 7/12 players on the team would be from NYK/Boston/Miami (and that's only if Pierce doesn't make it on as a reserve as well). Just saying.

Nash is kind of understood. Fans usually go off of reputation. Rubio, should not be ahead of OJ Mayo or Ginobilli. But Lin should no way in hell be 3rd! He's ahead of J. Harden, Westbrook, Mayo and Parker, Come on son! But I bet many won't call foul on this like the Melo MVP considerations.

I think Tyson does by the coaches. They tend to view stats a little different than we do.

It's not just because of his play. Being in New York has a lot to do with it too. Same can be said for Deron who's having an okay year.
