2nd best in the league... with out amare . camby, and shumpert..

We lost kidd and still went 3-1 in his absence...

No.

We just have an MVP candidate who has a strong supporting cast to go with a coach who doesn't run a gimmick offense.

No but I thought the Knicks would improve dramatically one a coaching change was made. How great has Felton been?

It's important to develop second rounders and undrafted guys do you have youth.

Thought it was possible but didn't believe it would be this early. Not with Shump, Camby, and Stat hobbled.

It helps that,

- Orlando is no longer a playoff team
- Atlanta is in stealth tank mode
- Pacer's minus Granger suck
- Bynum still injured

Those are 4 playoff teams that are non-factors to us right now.

no one felt sorry for us when we hobbled into the playoffs with 2/3 of the roster injured

I didn't imagine that we would anytime after the first week or two of the season. And I'm still not convinced that we can keep this up. I'm nervous about Amare's return to the lineup and I'm worried about our problems rebounding and how many 3-pointers we're taking. We're on pace to shoot around 2300 threes this season and we're currently shooting them at a 41% clip. Since 2000 only a couple of teams have shot 40% or better from 3 over the course of an entire season and all the best 3-point shooting teams take 2000 or less shots over the course of an entire season. I think we're over-reliant on 3-pointers and we really, really struggle offensively when they're not falling.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

I think the 3pt attempts will come down when STAT gets back as well as Shump. The only time when we have a post presence right now is when Melo posts up or when Wallace posts once in a blue moon. STAT will post up and Shump is more of a slasher. They're going to continue to shoot the 3 ball as long as they're open shots.
