Don't know what the time table for return from that is, but I remember it cost Michael Strahan about half a football season. Anyone know how long it takes to come back from that?

Man. He had that on his first stint with the Knicks. I guess he never really recovered from it.

damnnnn. That can keep him off the floor for some time.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

That won't happen either. Woody isn't all of sudden going to go to the Mr. Glass well during the playoffs when rotations are tight throughout. Nor would Mr. Glass show as a great vibrant contributor after sitting out the whole season.

He's done for this year for sure, Camby is fulfilling Jerome James/Ey Curry's fame right now

On July 11, 2012, Camby was traded to the New York Knicks in a sign-and-trade deal that also involved Toney Douglas, Josh Harrellson, Jerome Jordan, and two future draft picks going to the Rockets.

Were those both 2nd rd picks? This is a win-now team and a healthy Camby is better than those other guys. I can understand what Grunny was thinking. I miss Harrellson and Jordan though.

WAY too early to say that. We need him more for the playoffs than we do the regular season.

Toney Douglas, Jerome Jordan, Josh Harrellson and second-round picks in 2014 and 2015. Me thinks you may be over-reacting a bit.

Agree with Bonn. The worst things we lost in that trade were 2 2nd round picks. They're downplaying the injury and saying he'll be out today and tomorrow and re-evaluated after.

If he's back by February I'm cool with that. We have STAT coming back. Maybe it opens the door for more minutes from Copeland. Perhaps signing K Mart for the minimum makes sense after new years if we need him. Camby hasn't been playing much anyway. But come playoff time we'll need him or a suitable replacement.

if you got three of the four old guys working thats pretty good odds.

Had to figure one would be problematic. Its awful. I have it and it hurts first thing in the morning, after a work out when things tighten, or after sitting for a while.

Im not a proathlete so its no big deal, but if your gonna run and jump its gonna be a problem.

Once again it was was...

Douglas
Jorts
Jordan
2014 2nd
2015 2nd
Douglas 2012/2013 salary paid by us, essentially $2.1mil
Camby gets 3yr $13.2mil $10mil fully guaranteed and we pay Tax on Camby's salary for this year and next year

Cambg is a vet. He will produce when called upon. We can use him for rebounding and defense.

Or trade him too. We only paying him 3-4 million per.

Rest is probably the best medicine for this condition. We are deep enough that the Knicks have the luxury of resting Camby until he is ready to play. Once he is ready I'm sure Camby will be anxious to make up for lost time.

Why do you mention the tax? Knicks would have been paying that this year regardless if the trade went down or not....just on different players.

2nd round picks of recent memory...

Chandler Parsons
Aaron Afflalo
De'Andre Jordan
Danny Green
Kyle Singler
Dejuan Blair
Jodie Meeks
Marcus Thornton
Chase Buddinger
A.J. Price
Mario Chalmers
Goran Dragic
Omer Asik
Nikola Pekovic
Luc Mbah Amute
Isiah Thomas
Lavoy Allen
Jae Crowder
Draymond Green
Marc Gasol
Ramon Sessions
Carl Landry
Glen Davis

But hey who's keeping count on the value of 2nd round picks

Not in case Lin wasn't retained due to financial ramifications, then maybe mentioning the Tax can be omitted or in case it doesn't hamper us financially on making other moves or facilitating them. Camby's deal was agreed to first correct? Not trying to turn this into a Lin thread trust me I'm not I'm pointing out how such moves can limit flexibility.

My point was the Knicks sent almost as much salary out that it received back. Trade or no trade the tax bill is the same.

My point was in conjunction of paying a player's salary coupled with Tax the player isn't contributing. Had we kept Douglas/Jorts maybe they'd be playing right now or not(who knows with Woody although Jorts stood a solid chance with 3ball and hustle play) or get this maybe we trade those guys for future picks(2nd rounders) and sign a free agent who could contribute for example.....K-Mart

So we're not paying Camby just $3.9mil it's more like $5mil to do nothing
