Copeland was doing good work in the 2nd quarter.

Woodson does not trust his bench and runs Melo, Chandler, Kidd, Felton into the ground. He needs to play Copeland and the rest of the bench more.

If Camby doesn't have his legs yet, play KT a bit more. 2 minutes per period would be great.

well i agree that woody has to let melo and tyson rest for sure. Melo is our best player so when stat gets back maybe we can rest him a little more

Don't play until Wednesday. Knicks played the fewest games in the league 16. Plenty of rest

Woodson is trying to win games NOW.

Copeland is a rookie. He just needs to stay ready when he is called upon.

Too heavy handed. Melo has been tired. Why not develop Copeland and give him and James White some run with the knicks up 20? Must Woody run the knicks starters into the ground? I know he wants to win, but he sucks at getting Melo rest during the game. There was an obvious drop off in Knick starter intensity in the second half, and that was from fatigue, plain and simple.

You don't empty the bench coming out of the locker room to start the 3rd though. Once the Suns made a run. The rookie was not getting in the game. If Knicks had a 20pt lead in the 4th you would've seen Cope

The suns made the run cause the knicks were tired to start the 4th. The Knicks were up by 17 I believe starting the 4th. Cope should have played mid third quarter.

yea but by that point it was single digits. You can put in a rookie in that spot. Cope had a great half against a horrid team can't go to crazy.

Kidd might play Wed according to Isola but the issue is Knicks play 4 games in 5 days. I say give him limited mins on Wed and let him sit nexty Sunday at home vs Denver.

Raymond Felton's MRI revealed a bone bruise, contusion in his left hand.

The MRI on Raymond Felton's hand revealed a contusion and a bone bruise. He is day to day, the knicks said.

So, unless the Knicks missed something (a broken bone, a ruptured sac of hydrochloric acid, hand scorpions), this is pretty much the best possible outcome. "Day-to-day" means Ray might very well be ready for the Knicks' next game, which isn't until Wednesday in Charlotte. That one's the first of a back-to-back (the next game being in Miami), so letting him sit seems like a possibility, but I doubt Felton will take kindly to that option. (Remember that he played-- pretty poorly-- through a hand injury back in 2011.)

minutes and player management is key, and often overlooked by most coaches (except Greg Popovich), often to player detriment. Why run a good thing into the ground? Long term perspective beats short term wins.

yea but we are only 16 games into the season with 2 days off. Knicks play 4 games in 5 nights so resting our key guys as much as possible will be key then

right and I think Woodson will rest guys like Kidd, Melo, felton & tyson during that 5 game stretch as much as he can if the scoreboard allows

part of it is building up and using guys like Copeland and White to spell the main guys.

not sure I agree. Teams don't usually play the 14th and 15th men but I'm sure Copeland will get some burn next week

Copeland is not the 14th or 15th man right now.

With all the guys who are out, Copeland is like 8th or 9th. Teams do play 8th or 9th men to spell their starters.
