4-0 for the first time since '93. I love having the feeling of tuning into a game and wondering how much we're going to win by. Fellas, we have a TEAM. The ball is moving, we're playing great D and the chemistry is right on.

Looking at the schedule, we should take care of business against Orlando on Tuesday with the next test coming Thursday against the Spurs.

Not too shabby for a non efficient scorer running with a bunch of old men

This team is for real and this season will be one to remember. GO KNICKS!!!!!!!!!!!

last year, the Knicks would have played Dallas tight for the first three quarters but ultimately would get shredded--

--this year, Dallas played the Knicks tight for three quarters and then the Knicks kicked their butts

if the Knicks can somehow dodge the Heat until the ECF, things certainly look a lot brighter. Especially because the Heat have very little depth and like last year proved, if their Big 3 gets injured, a savvy veteran team like Boston would have a legit shot

I'm pumped... it really has been along time since I've been this excited about the Knicks

Imagine a season where the conversation is not about future draft positioning, potential trades, coaching changes, front office drama, former players who are wearing other uniforms, fan depression, college scouting reports, bandwagon jumpers headed to (cough) Brooklyn, Phil Jackson or the price of pretzels on the upper level.

Life am good.

A reporter asked Carmelo, "what do you say to the naysayers?"

Are you kidding me? This is the BEST a reporter can ask a team leader?

Carmelo smiled and talked about focusing on Orlando.

I'm happiest about Melo's play. This is the guy I watched in Denver and Syracuse, who's been my favorite player in the league, and who I thought we were trading for two years ago. After the **** show last season was, both for Melo individually and the overall team, it's really great to see Melo play like an MVP candidate and like a guy you can build a championship level team around, which is what I always thought he was. I'm still worried about the team's ability to continue shooting this well from downtown and am definitely worried about what happens when Amare gets back but I'm just going to appreciate the ride for now.

Quick correction, we would have come out sluggish, been down double digits at half, made an attempt to get back in the 3rd, but then fall well short in the 4th....You could hear Clyde saying, "Knicks always need to get down before they get back up." Then during the post game interview, after giving up 110 pts in the loss, the coach would have said, "Our offense just wasn't clicking tonite."

I couldn't sleep after opening night and the Knicks have just kept winning and playing great. My only complaint is the long stretch between games.

Yeah, I got used to the condensed shedule of last season. On the plus side, it gives me something to look forward to.

i'd rather have this... be excited for the next game and there's no excuse for having an off night now. last season the guys could blame poor performance on playing an insane schedule as opposed to the truth, which was going out with Chris Duhon the night before

From the article holfresh posted:
[quoteSixers Coach Doug Collins offered unsolicited praise for the Knicks before and after his team beat the Celtics in Boston, 106-100. He shifted from discussing his team’s defensive shortcomings to extolling the Knicks, who are responsible for his team’s only losses through five games.

“I’m not going to overreact to two losses to New York, because I think right now, arguably they could be playing as well as anybody in the East,” Collins said. “If Miami is 1, then they’re 1A. They played great against us on both ends of the floor.”

The Knicks were ranked No. 1 in the N.B.A. through three games in point-differential, points against and turnovers. The three Knicks’ victories were by an average of 19.3 points a game — Miami was next at 10.2 — and all four wins have come by at least 10 points. Their defense was allowing 85.3 points a game.

Coach Mike Woodson starts two point guards. The Knicks averaged a league-fewest 12 turnovers a game over their first three games and then turned it over only nine times in their victory over Dallas.

Woodson “has them playing very good defense,” Collins said. “If they can keep moving the ball and defending, they’re going to be really good

Right on!

But not sure I am ready to start assuming wins just yet. Let's take it a game at a time, just like the players seem to be doing.

That said, this skimpy schedule is killing me. One game in seven days! But then I think we have nine games in 14 days, so we will be getting a steady dose of Knicks soon enough.

Let's play the Magic like we have played the Heat, Sixers and Mavs, and then move on to San Antonio, which will be our toughest test yet.

While it's easy to look at Orlando and say it's a gimme, it's just as easy to look at that as sort of a trap game, then look at a loss at San Antonio two night later, followed by a game at Memphis the next night. So this is a very interesting three-game, four-night stretch.

This is going to be a tough stretch. Teams like SA and Memphis are tough to deal with and really test a teams defense. It's gonna be tougher on the road against teams that have real chemistry and talent.

I'm real curious about Memphis... I wonder how effective Melo will be as a 4 against them. If he can handle Memphis then I think he's no longer a SF
