Markus out 4 weeks with a "strained calf". Will likely miss opener. How long does it take to recover from a strained calf?!

We have our matchstick man back!

Knicks: Masters of prolonging prognosis. So after the dust clears both Amare and Camby out 2 months!

Who gets back first Amare, Camby or Shump?

With this one I would chalk this up to Camby. This is his rep. He usually takes longer to come back from injuries and fins a way to miss games during the season.

This is unbelievable. I never bought into Camby extending injuries until now. He's been healthy for years!

Knicks have done this before with "Strained Calf". Eddy used to do this.

A month? Sounds like he popped his calf, or in other words tore it. It takes time.

Just Nalod being negative Nalod here, but its not me who keeps making these announcements, its th KNicks.

Wait...so camby is out for another month?
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

i don't think this is the case. That's why I asked for a link. He has been out for a month since original injury, so this seems to be just hair-pulling

That's not really true, he's been all over the map regarding games played. Starting with last season he's played in 59 out 66, 59 out of 82, 74 out of 82, and 62 out of 82 games. Overall, over the last 4 seasons he's played in 254 games out of a possible 312 or 81% of the time. And that includes games he had to leave early due to injury.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Speaking from somebody who had 2 torn Achilles in 5 yrs....You take as long as you need with Calf injuries. Similar to JR Smith injury. If only I followed Camby's lead.....I might be surgery free.

If Camby is so important to Knick success....Whats the point in rushing him back? It's not the playoffs. Same with JR.....Our only reliable SG who can actually shoot.

This preseason has sucked. No games or practices (apart from yesterday) at MSG, fewer preseason games than any other team, injuries to Amar'e, JR, Camby, Tyson, Brewer, White, and now todays practice (the first one Camby was going to try and participate fully in) is cancelled due to a damned hurricane! Maybe tomorrows will be as well.

So much for the Woodson training camp and full preseason to build chemistry.

Hmm, it's probably going to be a slow start to the season for us- if we can battle through for the first few weeks, maybe we can hit our stride by the all star break.

Camby, who hasn’t practiced in nearly four weeks with a calf strain, took the Garden court yesterday in a heavy white wrap to participate in their light workout that mostly was a walkthrough.

However, Camby said he wouldn’t be ready to practice for real and scrimmage until tomorrow — which would mark a four-week layoff. Two full practices may not be enough for Camby to make his Knicks debut of his second stint. The Knicks have been extremely conservative with Camby because they don’t want the strain to linger.

“I’m hoping to get out there this week, get a couple of practices under my belt and try to get ready for this opener.,” Camby said. “I’m excited to get back out there. I want to play if possible but I know I haven’t really been out there. I’m shooting to get out there Thursday.’’

That says he's been out for 4 weeks not he will be out for another 4 weeks.

He was suppose to scrimmage today if not for Sandy

prior to 18-6, remember Lin only had a sore knee?

I guess Lin is a bad example since, there were many endorsements/adverstisements involved/$$$$

In the end, MANY TEAMS in the entire league, and the Knick's in the past, lies/hides/misleads about injuries

Really, Camby? REALLY?
