I haven't posted much lately. I've been struggling to find interests to talk about our Knicks, but it all leads down to one thing for me, the owner plain sux. The commissioner David Stern admits it, Zenmaster, coach of championships Phil Jackson admits it, and only a few diehard Knicksfans like me admits it. You can't cure this type of cancer and Jimmy Dolan is incurable, even his dad Charles Dolan probably admits that now. I know I got flamed a lot by speaking out about the owner and how we will never win a championship while he's the owner. I want to see a Knicks championship before I die, but I believe it will never happen as long as he's the owner still. Therefore, all the small talk about anything else has become more and more of a moo point for me. It's like a family having a genius for a kid. Promising, but needs to be raised right, instead, father Jimmy Dolan slaps his 2 incher T-bagging his kid from day one, then as the kid grows older, switches school every year and fires the teachers. Then the kid becomes a retard and Jimmy Dolan starts to silverspoon feeding the retard with caviar. I just don't get it. Flame away, but I'm telling you, Jimmy Dolan is the cancer to our Knicks and what we SHOULD do is avoid buying Knicks items, avoid subscribing to msg network, and encourage other Knicks fans to do so as well UNTIL HE SELLS THE TEAM TO A NEW OWNER THAT WON'T BE A DOUCHE LIKE JIMMY DOLAN. That's about all can be said.

Depends on what the goal of talking is. You can have fun talking about the team even if you don't expect them to win a championship.

how ironic, cancerous posters ruining this board calling Dolan Cancerous.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

There is no point. Its his team and Dole Lin can do what he pleases.

This team is constructed in response to the N*ts invasion.

He wants Knick fans to watch the "NY Melo's".

The Games will tell all in due time.

Pretty much the type of thread that this board does not need....a "LOOK AT ME, I need attention so will create a large FLAME thread".

On Cancer.

JamesLin - Is this the best topic you can create to START a new season?

C'mon.

Dolan is the last concern this morning. We are who we are. There is another week of pre season gams and then the fun starts. Dolan is the last thing on The Answer Man's mind. The absolute LAST thing. One more thing, cancer is a pathetically piss poor choice of words.

Especially this month.

JamesLin you are dead on. I seriously could not agree with you more. The Knicks have changed coaches, general managers, presidents, heck they have even tried changing all of the inerts of MSG. But the problem is not there. The problem wasnt coaches, general managers or the dirty seats at MSG. The problem is and always has been Dolan. Mark my words, until that man is replaced, this team will not win or even challenge for a championship.

This is the best the Knicks have been since this site was created, and also the most negative. Unreal.

The Knicks are the best they have been in 14 years...
Selfish star who never won anything. Another one ready to break down.
A bunch of used to be old man and a couple of one-dimentional specialists.
Is it better that last 14 years... probably.
But it is not good at all.

Cancer is a disease. Deadly one but it has a cure.
Radiation or amputation.
Both will not work with Dolan.
From radiation he will drop dead last.
He cannot be amputated because he is a head of this rotten body.
So let’s this body die and berry it. Then the new life will grow from it and Knicks will resurrect.

I think as time goes on the Walsh era and plan will continue to be scrutinized and eventually seen as an era where many mistakes that will hurt the franchise for a long time were made. The Knicks are in trouble because Walsh wanted to chase the ultimate star. Every other gm knew his goal so to get to a place where it was a possibility he was fleeced by every gm that he did business with. In the process picks, and some good players were moved. When things didn't work out he had to come away with something and that was Amare. Amare was amazing his first half season in NY. But there was a huge risk in acquiring Amare and only a desperate guy would take that on. Walsh made an Isiah type move with that signing and it appears that it will come back to haunt the Knicks.

well this America and we protect the **** out of property rights in this country.

And I'm split on Dolan. He sucks as a basketball owner. He's a great Rangers owner though. He spends whatever is needed on the Rangers and stays the **** away from hockey operations. The problem here is you can tell Dolan grew up a bit of a basketball fan and he thinks he understands the game. He writes the checks, he can do what he wants to do

This is the first criticism of Dolan I've ever read on these boards- quite a controversial opinion you've got there- believeing he's the main reason we've stunk the past decade.

Anyway, you couldn't be more wrong- every other poster on these boards will agree with me when I say Dolan is one of, if not THE best owner in modern sports. This magnificent man puts honor and loyalty above EVERYTHING- in this cynical modern age, that's a great thing to see.

Where as most other teams would recoil in horror at the crap served up by such characters as Laden and IT, and fire them within weeks, our owner is cut from a different cloth. He sacrificed years of winning in order to stand by them despite how detrimental they were to the team, simply because he connected with them on a personal level- such values are making my eyes water in awe and love for the man. At the end of the day I care much more about who Dolan is friends with than I do about the Knicks winning (let's be honest here, would you really value us winning a championship if it came at the expense of Dolans best friends? I think not).

Another thing I love about Dolan is while he stands by people who clearly can't do their job regardless, at the same time, he won't take disloyal crap from others regardless of how valuable they are to the team. And to me that's how a team should be run- put friendship and loyalty with the owner first and to hell with talent and the fans (hey- they don't pay the bills, right!)- if we sucked for the next decade, it would still be worth it knowing that Dolan has shown guys like Walsh, Sprewell, Phil Jackson and Lin that you don't cross the big (short) guy!

Not only does he own a keen business mind, but he's also fun and entertaining with his top class blues band. To me Dolan represents everything that makes this country great- here's a guy, that if it was left to talent alone would probably be unemployed, but thanks to having a wealthy father, was able to overcome his lack of talent and was given the opportunity to run a multi billion dollar business safe from any form of accountability (which to me just hinders mavericks from trying new things).

To be honest you just sound like an ungrateful, bitter fan jealous of everything that Dolan has achieved with this team.

NHL has a hard cap. Best way to throw money at hockey is to develope the yoots. Rangers sell out so it does not matter and TV revenue is smaller for NHL, but Cablevison viewership is highest in the league or close to it.

He is a good owner because of the cap.

Walsh does not chase anythying without the owner. Walsh works for Dolan and was given a job. GM's don't dictate how a franchise is to be run. He executes the plan.

If your dumping salary you give up assets to do so.

Dolan wants stars on the knicks. Stars also win you games. People buy tickets to see stars.

The MOre stars you have, the more tickets you sell.

We want real wins and real contenders. DOlan wants to sell tickets.

Who cares if this is the best we've been since 2001? We've SUCKED since 2001! If we finish with 46 wins and the 5 seed that would be the best team we've had in over a decade. I mean, we've only finished above .500 twice and we've won exactly one playoff game. So why do some of the worst basketball teams I've ever watched set the bar for success? Isn't the goal to win a championship not to be above average?

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come
