wtf
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

He will probably look awful for a while trying to get in the flow after missing all of training camp. Who starts at sg? Kidd or god forbid JR?

Should kept Lin

Phuck!

Grrr..well at least it's happening now instead of the playoffs. JR has to step up now. Who's the backup 2 now? White? Or more minutes with 2 point guard lineups?

wait a second!..how did this happen? pick up ball or we knew this BEFORE the trade?
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I highly doubt anyone will agree with this when he enters year 3 making max money. I would be shocked if he both develops a left hand and cuts down on the turnovers by then. Maybe he does and good for him if he does it... but shouldn't you actually earn max money before getting it?

...and will then promptly sign with Houston.

Wow, we've got the best defensive back court in the league on the IR!

Ha, the curse has started working its magic early this year.

Sheesh. Still, 6 weeks puts him back during preseason, so maybe he'll be okay.

Erm, what trade? Sorry am I being stupid here? Brewer signed as a free agent for the vet minimum.

Just to clarify, do you mean 85% or 85% of the absolute minimum threshold needed to play?

It's that point when 85% of us have decided we are experts about the state of his knee. We can do this! We've already started practicing even before the season starts, and will be 85% ready in 6 weeks.

wow, just our luck. This is why many teams like Pacers/Nets stock up on MANY players that are versatile and can play both sides of the court.
Brewer and Iman our best 2 defenders and they are both out.
NO ONE comes close to what they bring, while Brewer can even defend SOME SF's as well, but now we have NONE.
We already don't even have a "Lebron/Durant" stopper, now we don't even have a Wade/Joe Johnson/Harden etc stopper *the 2nd star"

I hope James White was just REALLY out of shape in summer league, if not, cut him.
If he really is bad, we are not here to develop him, especially at the age of about 30.
River is drying up with FA's with guards but I am sure there still are some left.

Our best defenders at guard would be

Raymond Felton - having Tyson Chander and Camby behind him would be nice, but he still needs more defenders at the guard positions to team up together.

JR Smith/Kidd - JR Smith can probably defend some PG's better vs some of the bigger/athletic SG's like Wade. He can defend someone like Kobe and some PG's better than someone as gifted as Wade on the Heat. Not sure if he can defend Ray Allen, just have to pray he will miss.

Kidd I am not sure can stay in front of any guards at his age, he might have to defend SF's and selective SG's, almost NONE of the PG's. He is big and strong though, probably give the most trouble to Wade from posting up with Brewer out.

White???? I don't think he can defend the most SF's even the bigger SG's. From what I saw of him Summer League, I don't he can defend 99% of the starting material in the NBA period, he looked super athletic in the youtube highlights but I am not sure what happened, it wasn't too long ago. If it was injury, age, or if he was just out of shape as he admitted during the summer.
Even though his contract is guaranteed, WE MUST CUT him if he isn't prepared, be ready to have some quality camp invites, especially now with Iman and Brewer both out out of a 15 man roster, 13 left players left.

I know many players do now want to take the vet minimum, but camp is starting soon, so some will have to take whatever they can get, and with our injuries, we can give them some quality minutes to show case themselves.

Don't know if everyone is still available here but some have training camp invites and guaranteed contracts
Haven't really kept up with the FA and some players that were not drafted, this year and previous years as well, and D-League
