Why is it that everyone paints Woodson as a guy who runs iso's and lets his guys go to work? Seems like he's being confused with Mike Brown (circa Cavs & Lebron) a lot.
Atlanta didn't have truly dominant isolation guys (Horford, Smith, Johnson)...
The Knicks have one of the best one-man offensive forces in the league (in Carmelo) which allows us to play that game for stretches - which at least gives us a default game plan when defenses tighten up. However, the Knicks got a lot of guys involved on offense when he took over. We saw the golden age of JR Smith and Novak, with those guys taking over games from behind the arc, with assists free-flowing.
I'd like to think that Woodson will keep some elements of D'Antoni's offense, with a summer to plan and a training camp to test out his own ideas.
