Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Yeah I watched that with my sons and the cool thing is that Lin actually contacted the kid and his family by Skype and talked to them. Lin told the kid he should still root for the Knicks cuz they'll be good, but the kid wasn't really buying it. I remember that's how I felt about Dr. J when I was a kid. I was such a fan of him when he was a Net. I the would follow him when he was on the Sixers. That's how kids are.

There's gotta be one of these out there for when we traded Felton. Someone dig it up so we can balance things out

It OK. We have Kid...
So when he will leave the Knicks we will have some street girs braking in tears.

I don't think any knick fan thinks Lin is a jerk and I think everyone wanted him back. It does get hard not to respond to some of the wild Accusations being made in regards to his leaving if you don't want to believe it is about how punitive and restrictive the cap becomes in the poison pill year of lin's contract, then maybe you should contemplate Lin firing r
The agent he had with the Knicks or why the contract changed from what was originally reported. It was a business decision and I don't think it was easy for the Knicks to make.

the money argument is horse patooie. knicks paid $170M+ in 2005-6. they can afford lin and then some. newsflash - they're restricted with or without lin, which makes it even dumber that they let their best young player go. not to mention melo + lin was the knicks best chance to make any noise the next three years.

but, nope, dolan's feelings were hurt and melo didn't like that lin was more popular than him.

so it goes.

it was a horrible decision that knicks fans will have to stomach and rationalize for years to come.

and don't give me the idea that knicks fans didn't eat up the garden PR that lin went back to houston for more money and that makes him a villain. that was almost every anti-lin argument on the board. it was a weak argument and stuff like this video prove that lin is a good guy. absurd to me that fans are bitching about lin's $25M over 3yrs when amar'e is getting $66M over those three years and melo is getting $66M over those three years.

don't even try to pretend that you didn't villify lin for getting a third of what amar'e is gonna get. you wanna know who will be more valuable over the next three years between amar'e and lin? it's lin. basketball-wise, PR-wise, marketing-wise.

the decision to let lin go is one of the most monumentally stupid decisions in the history of the nba when you factor in basketball and marketing.

i get that fans needs to lie to themselves so they can keep rooting for the orange and blue, but this is not a well run franchise. it's a pathetic joke run by cowards. and, yes, i'm still a fan, so i don't need the misterearlettes telling me how i'm allowed to root for this team.

My suggestion to you is to pose a question to Larry coon about this the next time he has a chat. He is neutral and knows the new cba.

3 years for 2 players = six years. At least, that's what I meant. Sorry I was unclear.
