I know it's the offseason, and the Nets coming to Brooklyn seems like a big deal, but trust me it's not. Or it shouldn't be. You don't have to look far to see that this is the attitude the Knicks should have. And, consequently, if the Knicks organization starts caring about Brooklyn I will be concerned.

The NY Jets entire offseason has been about buzz and hype and getting 'casual fans' interested. John Elway couldn't get Tebow and his hype machine out the door fast enough. The Jets, alternately, had to go get him and then have friggin ESPN cameras there during training camp. Are you kidding me?

meanwhile, you could hear a mouse fart at *the defending Super Bowl Champions* offseason. They keep their mouths shut, for the most part. They focus on the task at hand. The media would've cut Eli and fired Tom Coughlin about 27 times already if they had their way. But they don't care about stupid **** like 'whether or not the Nets will take their fans.' Who cares

Jets talk. Giants win superbowls.

Jerry Jones is talking again. Giants win superbowls.

Eagles Talk. Giants win superbowls.

Nets are talking now. Knicks win superbowls.

Knicks just take care of Knick business and the rest is easy. Knicks engage the media for self promotion and don't succeed its a **** storm. If Nets finish ahead of Knicks it won't be pretty.

I could care less and I do care less about the nets.

But I do care to a small degree. Good for those who don't.

I look forward to the games when it all gets sorted out!

Nets are annoying, and now that they are rivals all this talk about them is starting to Pis$ me off. Not only do we have to deal with the hype, but now my favorite place to talk Knicks is infected with Nets garbage. SMH

You are now on infinitilov100's bad side. You should have cleared this thread with him first.

SupremeCommander thanks for creating this thread. Real Knicks fans are suddenly standing up for their team more than ever.
We should continue to let Nets know we won't tolerate the non-sense and disrespect especially on our boards. "NOT IN OUR HOUSE"

You spend too much time talking and caring about the Nets. This is a Knicks forum! What are you doing even replying to a thread like this?

Well the Nets are a NY team again, so I don't see how they can be ignored. They have a new team, new stadium and lots of BUZZ. It's all fine IMO, let the Knicks fly under the radar. This is a great setup for a surprise big season for the Knicks. The TV programmers seem to think the Knicks are worth broadcasting so "LEHGO!" as they say down here in Georgia.

I could care less about the nets. I don't select the Knicks forum to talk giants, Yankees or rangers. Martin and Andrew do a great job here. They provide forum outlets for other interests. If someone has a need to talk nets and it isn't part of a game thread please take it to the off topic or nba forum.

*Couldn't care less.

Could care less means that you actually care some. Freudian slip perhaps?

Don't care about the Nyets. I bleed Orange and Blue. So many players want to come and play in New York and want to wear the Blue and Orange jersey. So many players just love Broadway and the big stage.

I was thinking this morning it would be a great story if it came out that the Mara's were actually subsidizing Tebow's Jets contract in some way. Nothing like running under the radar while winning rings.

i see them doing well, so far.

was at a free public enemy & salt n peppa concert at wingate field and the nets had a big rv with basketball hoops to shoot at to get prizes (i played...hit 2/3 and i got a nets rubber wristband) and video games set up with one of the nba games.

you've been seeing them really promoting their team now. anyone catch those ads with 'i'm joe johnson' on the trains?

some may not care about them, but they will surely lure new fans away from the knicks.

How? We've got a great team, especially defensively. They've only added Joe Johnson who's almost 35 years old. Can shoot but he's no superstar. Novak can do the same thing. Who is Lopez going to intimidate? Nobody.
Wallace is good but he's already 35 with a big contract like Johnson. Williams is not exactly lighting it up in the Olympics. The lame excuse after he refused to take the Nyets to the playoffs two seasons is that he did not have talent around him. He has now in the Olympics. What happened?

Raise your hand if you could care less about the Nyets
