Yea, thats just about what I thought. Dolan lied because he wants to paint Lin as a money grubbing glutton who is only out for himself as opposed to just a player who did what the Knicks told him, "Get the best deal and we will match." I gotta say, thats pretty slick of Dolan. |

![]() just sounds like lawyer double talk to me....ok, Jeremy can truthfully say that 'he' didn't go back.....but, can he say that none of his representatives went back? Or that the first offer shhet did not exist?
just an aside from another article - “it’s not any secret” that Shirley Lin “is running the show,” when it comes to the business interests of her son. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/new-york-marketer-fears-hard-sell-jeremy-lin-houston-rocket-article-1.1117415?localLinksEnabled=false |

Or that the first offer shhet did not exist? It probably didn't exist. When the rumors for that offer were going around, it was before the free agency period and Houston couldn't have written an offer sheet. i remember it differently. Didn't Fields get his offer sheet and sign it before the Lin sheet was reported? ok wait, just looked it up...it was during the moratorium. Much as I hate to post a berman artice..the dates and everything are here http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/sources_knicks_will_match_jeremy_UiWmQy0rzKmQCNrv94gn5J?utm_medium=rss&utm_content=Knicks "Rockets general manager Daryl Morey presented Lin an offer sheet late on July 4 — calling for $5 million in the first year, $5.2 million in the second year, then backloading the deal with $9.3 million in the third year and $9.3 million in the fourth, according to a source. Yesterday, Lin’s agents tried to negotiate a guaranteed fourth year." |
