I think any of these are possible but I'm more optimistic based on how he's playing in the olympics and how seriously he seems to be taking his conditioning.

I think Melo is going to have the best year of his career this year. He played awesome in March last season..... 29.8 PTS 3.6 AST 7.3 REB 1.1 STL .495 FG% .460 3PT% and well againt the Heat in the playoffs.

He seems to have a different swagger about him and I think with his boys in Miami now holding the hardware it's going to motivate him that much more. I'm looking for big things from Melo this season.

Last time he had a great all around season was after the 2008 Olympics and extra motivation by the constant ribbing DWade gave Melo of not leaving the 1st round. Melo will have a great season this year, after coming into camp in great shape, and by Lebron's constant yapping of his ring during their time in the Olympics.

He still has to share the rock with Amare but he might be able to match 08/09 if he maintains his conditioning

I vote for has a good season - I think its possible for him to have a career year but that's something you cannot predict.

A career year for me would be playing his role on the team and heling us get to the finals. I could care less what his numbers are

I predict he will get *two* coaches fired and convince Dolan & Grunwald to make Tyson Chandler feel so unwanted that he demands a trade, which the Knicks will do, bringing back three scrubs to replace him. Melo will also score 50+ points per game while the Knicks go 0-82.

All in all, it will be Carmelo's best season ever.

I think he will gain 45 each month and retain lots of water in his legs leading to water blisters and cellulitis

I think Bonn1997 will get married and become a much less negative and happier person

I miss seinfeld!

I don't believe Melo wants to get any more negative attention than he already has and is going to have a very good season. He has the coach he wants, an improved roster, its on him to shut the critics up.

This may be the best shot Melo has to get to the big dance. I'm not saying the team is perfect, but considering his contract with the team is running thru what should be the best years of his career, there really isn't likely to be another situation for him to get to the finals and so he's gonna have to completely exhaust everything he's got in the tank. No holding back.

I think he's got to dig deep and I think he'll give a max effort this year. There are no more excuses left for him. IMO this is the best team he's ever been on. It's a different team from any of his previous teams since it's really a defensive team and with few scoring options he'll get all the shots he wants and more.

I think Melo has to make sure that he finds a way to excel along with STAT. IF that means he's got to keep an eye out for STAT then I think he's got to do that. The more STAT scores the better for Melo and the team. STAT is a career elite high % scorer. The same with Tyson. STAT is #20 all time in TS% and Tyson is #7. If you've got 2 teammates who are that high on the list for their careers then you really need to make it your business to get them the ball.

I see a lot of missed 15 footers in his future.

I see his failures to win magnified and celebrated by the media.

good thing we sacrificed out future to go all in the next two-three years then?!

i don't understand the mentality that this team is built to win now, but hey not win that much. if that's the case, i'd rather be building for three-four years from now with gallo, wilson and lin.
