The guy is a good finisher. Decent ball handler...He's better than Sonny weems, Ronnie brewer and Maurice Evans if we had a choice with the veterans minimum.....

What would he be bringing to the team? I guess he's a good rebounder for a SF but I'd prefer a good rebounder for a PF or C. And we have plenty of guys who can shoot twos and almost no one who can shoot threes. I don't see what role he fills. |

We definitely could use 3 point shooters but I don't think there's any point in getting a guy who's slightly better at 3s (maybe 38% vs. Childress's 33%) but a much less efficient overall scorer. The one extra 3-pointer made out of every 20 shots isn't that important. |

And more rebounds are even better which is why I'd rather have a PF or C who can rebound over a SF. Also, he's averaged less than one 3-pointer/game for almost his entire career. And the last two years he shot 6.3% and 16.7% from 3. There are better players and better fits than Childress available. |

We dont need him to score. We need him to defend and rebound for 5-10 minutes a night.
