Bye Lin, hope you do well in all of your future en-devours. As a Knick fan it was truly a great experience watching you play. Thank you for what you brought to the Knicks.

Many are starting to forget, but it was probably the absolute best sports story in a long time. I went back today and watched the highlights, starting with the Nets game, Jazz, Washington, Lakers, Mavs -- thanks for playing your heart out (like my other favorite Knick, John Starks), and for the memories. Hope you'll be back some day under a different Knicks coach/management and to win a championship here while we gladly pay you a max contract.

We have come a long way from the 1990s in terms of our identity as fans. We talk about wanting players who are proud to be Knicks and are willing to put it all out there. Then something crazy happens, we get our wish and find someone who produces unreal results and puts everything he has on the line for the team and we choose to believe unconfirmed conspiracy theories about how he never wanted to be a Knick because we value sensational journalism way more than what we see with our own eyes. On the other hand we vociferously embrace, endorse and idolize lazy out of shape selfish players who by their own admission didn't play hard when they didn't agree with the coach and we call them "elite". Yeah we as fans have matured a lot in our way of thinking. We are the most knowledgeable fans in the world, and we decided you are the traitor and we don't need you. So goodbye and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

What a story and I wish Lin the best. He is what you hope for your kids to become. A kid coming out of nowhere and makes it on the big stage. The difference is that the kid has talent and wants to improve. Like I said in another post, regardless of all the 85% BS, he wants to win. That is why the second tier guys ALL performed well with him. He may shoot often but he also sets up his teammates. Here is something he said yesterday,

“I’m gonna continue to learn,” Lin said. “I have so much room for improvement, but I’m going to try and share the little bit I’ve learned. I just want our team to win and make the playoffs. We just really wanna make sure we’re doing everything to win.”

For the Knicks who have not won since 1973 and who have not won a playoff series since 2001, it was the best story we have had. IT made is easy to be a Knicks fan. The UGLY saga that has occurred the last week, makes it hard again. As Knicks fans, we are suckers for the pain, so we push on and I will come around to supporting the team again but I will always root for the kid out of Harvard.

Hey Jeremy, you don't know me but I think we were from same family 500 years ago... Got a spare Knicks jersey to sell? Sorry our Knicks owner just couldn't see the potential you have and uh, can I borrow 5 bucks? Just need to buy a meatball Subway footlong to stuff it up Jimmy Dolan's already widened ....

Yeah it does, but then if someone compiled a compilation of what he looked like in those 5 or so losses leading up to D'Antoni leaving, you wouldn't feel so bad. I honestly don't how good Lin will be, maybe he was that good, maybe he was just on fire and is merely an okay player. But it's not really anything to do with us anymore.

Oh will you stop it with that please. There have been numerous article written about the Knicks could have used loopholes in the new cba to defer the costs. Everyone pretty much knows what happened, Dolan made business personal, again.

You are going to try and make a point using an isola article? Honestly, when there is a logical explanation that doesn't make the team you root for look bad why would you go searching for an article that is sensational and written by a well known unreliable source. It sucks @ss that the Knicks lost Lin.

Dear Jeremy,

It was great watching you put together a historic run of games and contributing big time towards getting the Knicks into the palyoffs. I congratultate you on turning 25 starts into $25 million. If you live up to your potential I'll see you back in blue and orange in 4 years when we start our rebuilding project yet again.

Knicks management said they would match any contract up to $1 billion dollars. Dolan told Lin himself during the playoffs that he shouldnt play because he had "big plans" for him "in the future". Any fool can see that Dolan got mad during the contract negotiations and made a personal decision instead of the right decision. This decision wasnt right for the fans, it wasnt right for the morale of the organization and it wasnt right for the team. Even people such as Steven A. Smith on his radio show and Michael Rosenberg in his columun, who loved this moved were forced to admit that this whole thing was an ego trip by Dolan. I mean really, how much more proof do you need?

You dont like Isola? Ok.

Don't you believe it, Jeremy. It's been two years and fans here are still clinging to Gallo and MozGov.

I have no choice but to hope he gets snuffed by every guard in the league for the next 3 years.
Maybe the fools running this club can luck into a good decision.
