Look man.. I'm bored, its late and can't sleep... After listening to SAS on Sunday... This guy was 85% ready and didn't suit up agaisnt the heat. Yea he wants his pay day.. this one just baffles me.. I'm not happy to see him go but I'm not crying. You got wade draining his knee. Shump baron out and your 85% healthy and you don't go... I thought he was our prospect so I gave him lee way..I'm glad this is over. It was like dwight mania but over lin.

The guy hopefully goes to houston and improves his game. At the time I thought the doctors weren't clearing him but after sas soundding off my minds changed. Would we have beat the heat? Who knows but we sure needed a pg out there..

If you want to be a knowledgeable fan I implore to please stop listening to Stephen A. The man has an obvious agenda and barely the kid his props during the height of Linsanity. Don't listen to that loudmouth's word as gospel.

he was 85% healthy coming off an injury that he could have re-injured.

And we're going by our team doctors? The same ones that have historically been laughable? Sorry, I think its absurd to hold that against him.

Are you telling me that if you had a chance to help your team in the playoffs you wouldn't? I dont know....if i am even 65% i give it a go....i dont care who im playing against. Lebron would have suited up, carmelo did suit up, as well as amare with half a hand. Shoot even shump would have suited up, either way LIn was more worried about making his money rather than helping his team.Period

I think the 85% thing has alot to do with why Lin is no longer a Knick.

I love how all this stuff is coming out now about how he was 85% ready 5 weeks after having knee surgery. Where was all of this during the playoffs?

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Lin tried, he got in the best shape he could, but hadnt even played 3 on 3 and that was after the playoffs started.

I was one of the people that wanted lin not to play. I guess after hearing sas side I question his spirit and competiveness in the heat of the moment no pun intended. Mike miller could barely walk, wade his knees drained and more. Yes these guys have the money so let's not go down that rabbit hole. Do I question his logic, no, his spirit to an extent yes... That's all I'm saying...

Basically Lin was thinking with his Harvard educated head, not his Blue and Orange heart.

You would have to be an idiot to play after Derrik Rose, Shump and Baron Davis all tear there ACL during the time period that he was considering playing.

Look at Rose and Shump especially. Those two were having knee and leg issues throughout the season, and with the strike's brutal schedule, broke down in the playoffs.

I don't understand SAS. If he thinks Lin is just an average point guard than why should it matter if Lin was 85% or 100%. You know what? SAS is in denial, that's why.

He was smart for not playing, Mario Chalmers making him look stupid again woulda cost him 10 million dollars.

You know who rushed back from a knee injury to play in the playoffs? Derrick Rose. Now he's out for a year.

Saying Lin should have played in the playoffs is literally some of the dumbest chest-pounding jock BS I've ever heard.

I'm disappointed in Knicks fans. We're supposed to be the smart ones.

Stephen A Smith is normally roundly derided as the blowhard idiot he is on this board. Now he's being cited as the guy to listen to. SMFH

You seem quite fair, balanced and unbiased in your opinion - as much as SAS.

No, you're right, Lin should have rushed back to play for a team that was down 3-1, had just lost Baron Davis for a year to a knee injury and didn't even offer him a contract after he saved their entire season.

Does anyone remember how the Knicks wouldn't have even made the playoffs without Lin?

The Heat were the best team in the NBA - what makes you think a guy who hadn't played in 5 weeks against NBA competition would have been any help? He would've gotten brutalized. Not because he "SUCKS LOL", because to play NBA playoffs basketball you have to be ready.

Saying anything else is empty macho BS said by guys who have never played sports at a high level. Disgraceful.

Not to mention Lin played hurt for weeks before shutting it down.

So why was there even discussion. It was a day to day decision if you remember clearly. It was obviously a very strong contemplation.

But I do agree that he woulda gotten brutalized just like the last time he (sort of) played against miami. Nobody said the kid is dumb.

James Dolas was 85% right .. lol
