The NBA led by teams like Houston Rockets and many other teams when Knicks were bad use Knickerbockers during D.Sterns era.

Star/Superstars FAs come here like Grant Hill (prime then), Reggie Miller, Wade, Malone and stars think when they come to NY
and talk to Knicks they believe automatically NewYork is place to make $$$ and want the most money from Knickerbockers.

This greed and guys with bad advice like Jeremy Lin and new agent miss the big picture and point of having privilege to
be in NewYork, get a chance for great job as a Knickerbocker and have all the Broadway rewards and world endorsements.

Guys players dont know they will make $$$ not by getting greeding stupidly at Knicks expense OR use leverage of NY
big market team to drive values up rather than being in NY City. Best place in the world

All in all I'm tired of what we seen with Jeremy Lin he now cry's/whines he didnt know things would work out like this
and does not want to leave NY

What a crock of crap!

You go back to Houston Rocket management and single handily with your new agent blasted the Knicks $$$ + Luxury tax implications
to kingdom come then come out today and state you really want to be in NewYork Jeremey ? Really eh ?

Your actions to go back & have delay with formal initial offer sheet shows Jeremy wanted out of Knickland in the first place!
After NY told you the nice 1st contract you're getting it matched by Knicks & Line deceived the fans he thumbed down the many
endorsements and sales, community businesses here which took to talented Lin in the 1st place & helped shine the phenomenon
Linsanity

Carmelo Anthony didnt b_low smoke at the 1st contract he said squat not a peep. Carmello what he says was STRICTLY Contract#2
which we all as Knicks fans thought the 1st original deal to be matched was Game, Set & Match.

Carmelo, Amare and J.Lin even had dinner 1 or so month prior to Jul 3 FA ongoings and the dinner with coach Woodson was to help
Lin along with Amare & Melo feel he's wanted in NY

But Lin wants his OWN team. Wants his own superstardom and does NOT WANT TO be in Houston for 1 sec so
if you believe the Yao Ming being a Rocket is end all, Well Good Luck Mr Lin. We liked you we even had many that loved you

But Now ya gotta go brother. Knicks are slowly assembling guys whom want to be in NewYork not the opposite.
We'll win this thing 1 day and won't be cause of Jeremy since Lin seen to that back-stabbing the Knickerbockers between July3 -July14

Sick of the Drama, Knicks will be fine
Privilege to be a Knickerbocker not to Lin.

Fans & good forums need to 'Wake up' and smell the coffee like I did the last few days that its best Knickebocker business
in short or future terms to let Jeremy Lin go to Rocket-Land. Of course ya can always come back to NYK perhaps later in
his Lin-career.

*Amen & Goodbye Jeremy. Thanks for the memories few months ago

This is all speculation. None of your comments about Lin's thinking, beliefs, behavior, and goals actually include any quotes from him.

Agreed...the same way we haven't seen any direct quotes from Grunwald or Dolan.

True, Dolan has a track record of stupidity though and doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.

every article you see in trash like the NY Post is pure Garden spin. so that's kind of like a quote.

gee, i wonder why Lin would want to leave this wonderful, model franchise? why could he possibly? other than the backstabbing comments from melo, the team firing his coach after melo quit on him, not being offered a contract... why on earth wouldn't he consider it a privledge!? what a jerk!

Jeremys Lins actions speak way louder then his words. Saying he loves NY why is back dooring with the Rockets. He is trying to make the Knicks the bad guy to keep his image that is all

He was supposed to take the first offer he got and make zero effort to get a better offer.

Really how many times do players agree to an offer then go back and have the team change the deal to pile money into a year to make it a poison pill. Open your eyes he wants out of NY.

You are relying on what the papers have told you to believe. How did he redo a deal when there never was an official deal, or at least no evidence that there was one has ever been presented? If the deal was actually redone, how do you know that was Lin's decision (as opposed to the Rockets)?

There couldn't have been a deal in place - nothing can be signed during the moratorium. But don't let facts slow you down - you're on a roll here figuring out the whole situation.

Knicks are clearly pissed at Lin - but, uh, it's not like Lin told the Rockets what to offer him. If the Rockets offered him that contract it's because they think he's worth it. Knicks put themselves in this position. To NOT re-sign out of spite is pathetic and pure unadulterated Dolan.

The idea that Lin forced the Rockets into adding a $15M season in his contract is hilarious. Why the hell would the Rockets agree to that? It was clearly the Rockets idea or something Lin's agent worked with the Rockets on.

You can't be mad at Lin if you tell him to get an offer - he's supposed to get the best offer for himself.

Exactly teh knicks for whatever reason told lin to get offers so it seems to me that they told lin taht they would match anyway. Look i dont care if they change their mind on lin but they could have come up with a better plan than felton

Nothing can be signed but U know paremeters of deals are worked out and agreed upon. Pretty clear there was an understood offer that was changed by the Rockets and Lin.The structure of the contract being presented to the Knicks makes all the differance. The Rockets can line up the money any way they want the Knicks are forced to deal with it as is.The Rockets may line it up 8.3 each year they can spread the cap hits
