The rockets are a mess. They lose dragic, and trade Lowry and then put themselves in a position to not get d12 so that they can get Lin. Morey out dumbed himself.

Maybe with all the vets on this team and a coach who won't give him as much rope, Lin figured he would rather cash in and be a big fish in a small pond, so to speak. The alternative is that Lin figured that he had the Knicks by the balls and didn't count on them changing their minds.

This is off base IMO. Lin didn't have a damn contract!!!! You think it would be a problem for him if he hurts himself before he gets to sign the BIGGEST deal in his life? Come on man you've gotta think a bit more.

All that's true I am for him going for the money and saving himself. He is business minded like everyone in the NBA should be. However, I am not going to act like he didn't put the Knicks in a bind by "going behind their backs". IF that tweet is real than he knew what he was doing and new what the extra money would cost them.

I doubt those teams bite on a trade for Lin. That 3rd year is worth 15 mil, correct? GM's aren't touching that contract.

Lin is no fool. He knew that contract would be hard to swallow for the Knicks.

Maybe he wants to be the man on a team. I cant blame him. He has to look out for himself.

I'm sure he's going to be taking a lot of pictures with celebrities while living in Houston- lots of oil barons and rodeo queens there.

The Kniks can't match the offer until they receive a hard copy of it in the offices in NY. The deal was signed late Friday or on Saturday I think so the papers probably won't get to NY until Monday.

This was according to Alan Hahn during the SL game on Saturday. I wouldn't be too worried, I believe they will match.
