Because there are so many threads dedicated to terrible trade proposals to get rid of Amar'e, which can't even be done because he's untradeable, why not keep them all in one place instead of making a new one every few days.

Remember the keys to these threads are to emphasis how terrible a contract Amar'e is, propose a trade that would make us worse, and await the replies that declare he can't be traded because- oh wait!- he is untradeable!

Feel free to:

-Point out Amar'e was terrible last year
-State he is on the decline
-Exaggerate his back injury (but remember: if you're proposing to trade him and Tyson Chandler for Dwight Howard and Turkoglu, Howards more severe back injury has actually been healed by the use of magic and is not an issue!)
-Disregard facts like lack of point guard/lack of offseason practice due to injury recovery/death of his brother- argue that these actual facts are just excuses
-Emphasis that his contract is uninsurable
-Mention his previous eye injury (where he got stabbed in the eye with a finger)- it's not relevant and hasn't been an issue, but somehow it builds the case that he is injury prone
-Declare he can't play with Melo
-Declare he can't play with Tyson
-Declare he can't play with Melo and Tyson
-Declare he can't play without Nash
-Declare he can't play without a point guard

Amare for Dirk :))))))

It's mot that he sucks, it's that he is not the best fit for this team and his salary hinders moves for FA's that would combine to make a more balanced starting 5. Carmelo actually played well at the 4 last year, so a Sg an a Sf would also fit the bill. I would trade amare for one of those and salary relief and get the ither with the full MLE. The only reasonon he isn't tradeable is because we aren't shopping/trading him

Maybe this can be the official head in the sand thread for those who thought we'd have a .750 team last year and think our team's owner is brilliant.

It's not about whether you think Amar'e is good or bad- what annoys me is that the one thing Amar'es greatest critics and strongest defenders can agree on is that he is not tradeable! We all know and agree on this- why do we have to go through all the same stuff just reach the conclusion that we all know and agree on.

You should re-title this the Prozac Ferris Wheel thread, because all it can ever do is go around in a depressing circle.

Everyone is tradeable. You just have to give up a lot sometimes and/or take back enough money. Some players' have so little value that it's hard to imagine a trade that's worthwhile actually happening but the imagination can certainly come up with offers Dolan could make that other teams would accept. He is not untradable. While a traditional insurance company might not insure his contract against career ending injury, a solvent large corporation with sufficient credit could step in and imsure the contract. Anyone who doesn't think Cablevision has sufficient capital????

You see someone who hits an object in frustration as a monster? Cool.

Im encouraged of what ive been reading about Amare. He has a personal trainer on his hip and he is working out twice a day. Suppose to work with Hakeem this off season as well. He did have a personal tragedy in his life during the season maybe he can boiunce back and will all feel stupid for wanting to trade him

Any articles on Dwight's surgery/recovery? For all the crappy trades proposed, I would still do Amare for Dwight (No TYSON is no longer included), since they are both damaged goods now. Has the surgery already taken place?
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

You're right, to call him a monster would indicate someone is afraid of him.

I think Amare has shown his frustration and is doing things about it this off season to improve his game.
He is at his all time low on trade value, I think he can bounce back, I give him much respect in taking this off season to improving his weaknesses.
I like how Phil Jackson called out our team as "clumsy" and both Melo and Amare are doing things to take it to heart and improve their games.
Everything Jackson said is true, he might have been hurt because he wasn't offered a chance to get paid 10m +...
But if we did get Phil Jackson he would want a whole new lineup, which we aren't capable of doing....

Ya think Orlando would do that? This is the point of this thread - insane trade proposals.

Which is why I responded here and included it within other crappy trades proposed. That trade would make the Knicks better.
