you do realize that the most anyone can offer lin in year 1 is $5M and year 2 is $5M?
and the total MAX contract ANYONE can offer lin is 4yrs $36M?

Because Grunwald essentially told his agents - "we'll match whatever the market price is, but we want to see the price the market sets."
So he basically told Lin to visit other teams - which I don't like. But I get why they did it. But I feel like it's a bad idea, even though I firmly believe the Knicks will match on Lin.
The main logic is that the Knicks really have no other options. Certainly not any better options. Sure, bring in Kidd or Felton as a backup or whatever, but Lin is the best starter they can get.
