I don't see why Camby would take less money to come to the knicks. The heat, celtics, spurs are all better options to win a title.

He would be a great insurance policy, but he only really makes sense if we move chandler for some good depth.

Read the bold print........You guys know what the stats look like without chandler right? we give up 115+ ppg, and the game becomes a layup line

Chandler is our only tradeable asset right now that would bring real value back. If you could bring someone like a Josh Smith in for him then acquiring Camby makes sense because you can then move Amare to the starting 5. You're not exchanging Chandler for Camby.

Melo does have value, but he has managed to take away from everyone else's. Something for everyone that defends him to keep in mind. Shump is a big question mark with his injury, Fields unfortunately would be a great player with a good point guard and SF that doesn't insist on killing all offensive chemistry.

And what's crazy about starting stat at the five and smith at the four.

Josh Smith 18.8pts 9.6brs 3.9ass 1.4stls 1.7blks
Tyson Chandler 11.3pts 9.9rbs 0.9stls 1.4blks

Atlanta wouldn't do it, but it would allow Amare to play his best position and bring in a better scorer, shotblocker and not hurt the rebounding numbers.

WHy would it only make sense if we move Chandler. It wouldnt make sense for him to back up Amare and Chandler. He would be great insurance and could keep Amare/Chandler fresh. Problem is teams like the Heat can offer more potiental playing time as well are better teams. Camby loved it here though so I wont totally rule it out

I'd love to see camby with the Knicks again. He can defends 3s, 4s, and 5s. He can form a 3 man platoon at the 4/5 with TC and Amare.

Camby will go to the team that will pay him to most $ and be a contender.
He has always been about $ and he will not sign a veteran minimums deal.
I do not see him signing for anything lower than 3m mini exemption to a contender.
With that said, it removes our chances of acquiring Camby.
