Team won 24 games. This was the year Bernard was avg. 32 a game and went down. He played 63 games. Not every year with Bernard was great btw. Cummings was out of the league 9-10 years before Layden took over. http://www.basketballreference.com/players/playerpage.htm?ilkid=CUMMIPA01 |

Almost. |

![]() Didn't we have the Kiki Vandewhee experiment during this era (error) too. He was suppose to be the outside of the inside/outside with Patrick. What a frustrating period for me as a Knick fan.
Vandewhee's back was shot and he could barely move let alone play basketball. jrodmc wrote:Nalod wrote:--knicks1248 wrote:I thought he played in the layden era, whatever the case, we weren't a very good team I think mediocre at best..none the less he was a good dude...RIP Bring back dee-fense

Hit the NYK and you can see the roster that year, and subsequent years before or after. Great way to put the time line back in. After 20 years it all gets muttled. Some posters think Mase and LJ played together and forget many roster moves. Its easy to forget. YOur time line is funny. Pat Cummings PLAYED with Ernie Grunfeld!. Layden replaced Ernie as GM! |

![]() Looking through the link that Nalod provided I see that Pat Cummings and Kiki Vandawhee weren't on the team at the same time. Cummings last year was '87 and Vandawhee's first was '88. Either wat weren't a good time at the time. JesseDark wrote:Didn't we have the Kiki Vandewhee experiment during this era (error) too. How beautiful if nothing more
Than to wait at Zion's door
I've never been in love like this before
Now let me pray to keep you from
The perils that will surely come
