They have got the Knicks right a few times---my guess is that they didnt change their mock for one second round pick without reasonable cause.

The knicks lately have been very good at surprising everyone with their pick. Fans in the arena boo and then cheer and buy that players jersey once the season starts. Any info on this guy? Whoever the knicks draft I wilk trust their decision. Would love a 3rd string pg to develop but wouldn't mind another diamond in the rough

Knicks have been ok in the draft. We had some guys who started off to look nice--for example chandler Fields douglas and they all have fallen off pretty bad. I would not say we drafted a diamond in the rough with any pick.

David Lee was probably the best draft pick. Our biggest misses were big....Rondo and Bynum most recently.

Over the past few years Knicks have been very good at finding great value later in the draft. They have missed higher in the draft though from a value standpoint.

Brandon jennings and ty lawson too. We drafted jordan hill. Our scouts do well with 2nd round picks tho. I think when it comes to lottery picks they over think it and pass on obvious talent and needs like bynum & rondo

Don't forget Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague, Eric Maynor, and Darren Collison were in the Jordan Hill draft.

Knicks could have had buddinger or Blair with the Douglas pick. Both guys were supposed to be lottery talents and both are good nba players. I think buddinger would have been a star playing for d'antoni.

Been awhile since Knicks absolutely hit it out of the park in the draft. Hoping Shumpert can be that guy once he's all the way back healthy. Otherwise, can't think of any recent players drafted besides David Lee that were borderline all star caliber players.

NBADraft.net has us picking William Buford from Ohio State.

By far in the last 20 years David Lee was the best pick--Id rather have him than Amare hed fit in better. That being said a C- for the lot of players is very fair. It could move up depending on Iman over the next 5 years but as of now C- is very fair considering two lottery picks in there.

There was like a half dozen guys i liked better then Jordan Hill. Hell I would of taken Derozzan he would of fit at the 2

Middleton reminds me of picks we have made although not as athletic. I think we can do better than that.

Can we please remember the pick is 48. Why would you like David Lee exactly? He is still the same no defense player he has always been. I think Nate, Ariza, Lee, and Chandler are good picks for their positions in the draft. Jordan Hill was a bad pick though.

because he actually can post up, finish with both hands, hit a 17 footer, rebound much better, handle the ball as a Point/Forward, good BB IQ, and has under rated passing game.
Oh, he is also like 5-7m cheaper, so we can spend the $ elsewhere, while Lee can play both forward spots with Melo.
Amare is the better player at PF/C vs David Lee, but Lee fits with the team assembled now much better than Amare does.
When I say PF/C, I mean Center, David Lee has no shot playing that position, while Amare can use his athleticism/quickness over some centers but still get eaten by many on the other side.

That was why we got Amare but once we added Tyson Chandler, it was clear that Amare couldn't do the things he thought he could when a PF was defending him.
This is including his shot, with a Center, he cannot go ahead and contest it, giving him much room to go for his jump shot.

What drugs are you on. Lee players no defense at all!!!! At least Amare can get a block here and there. Lee is not a better player the Amare in anyway other than rebounding.

They are both horrible but for this team, David Lee is the better defender.
If Tyson Chandler was not here, Amare is playing Center, then Amare vs Lee, Amare would be the better defender.

But that would mean our defense sucks so much either way...
You have to admit that Lee would fit in this team much better, because he has more skills than Amare.
He has no ego issues and doesn't need to be an alpha, capable of playing with and off Melo.

In what world does Lee has more Skill The Amare? You can't say Lee a defense in the same sentence, so I don't agree he is a better fit for this team. I believe you need at lease two Star players to win it all. Lee does not fit the category. Amare and Melo don't well but if they want it to work it can.
