I'm glad they have priorities straight. Allen, Mayo, and Terry are the top of the list, all of which could be ideal SGs for this team. We can add a quality backup PG for the LLE or minimum.

i kind of wouldnt mind ray allen. he would be very cheap, give us more championship pedigree and be a great leader in the locker room with chandler. i do think our long term solution at the 2 will be shumpert but since he is out until january, ray can hold fort and doesnt have to do much. also, are we losing landry this summer? i thought he has one more year?

All 3 of those guys are worth more than the MLE.

So we give up on Lando? Is his shot unfixable? Has he hit his ceiling?

Ray Allan can't get starters minutes can he?

OJ mayo? For 5mil per year? Isn't OJ may the same as JR smith?

Media loves the sure thing.

I like Jason Terry as a sixth man, but he's worth more than the MLE.

We need a SG who can shoot. Shumpert is a great 6th man right now when healthy. Can't put enough emphasis on surrounding Melo and Stoudemire with shooters. Not sure why people are so content with a team full of streaky to bad outside shooters.

this is why jamal crawford is on my list. i think he's more likely than ray allen or jason terry and almost in their league as a player. and he's just flat out better all around than mayo.

Backcourt is priority. Right now Toney Douglas is the only healthy backcourt player we have.

Knicks need a ball handler and a extra scorer......craw would help or far break and he would add a scorer capable of doing 50 if he gets it going. His ball handling is better than most point guards out there.

So yeah....i want Jamal back. Landry should not be brought back.

Throughout the entire season last year our biggest issue was PG, still is...JR(SG) is the six man or maybe Odom if we are lucky...We currently have depth at the position..We aren't going to add more unless we could land a game changer like Ray Allen...We have too many holes on the roster to be worried about more shooters...

We have to have players who make people pay for doubling Melo, Lin, and Stoudemire. That is the only way we will get this team's core to fit together.

2 other real solid options are Randy Foye and Gary Neal. Either player could play SG and PG filling 2 needs.

If you have a SG who can knock it down consistently then people will have to honor that which would leave Novak open more and Melo would have a much easier time picking teams apart.

What derailed the Knicks last season PG or SG?...If this GM comes into next season not addressing the PG position and Lin goes down again, everyone on the planet will be asking for his head and I will lead that charge...

Personally I think A proper SG is our biggest need. You can find a serviceable PG to distribute the ball but unless you have shooting, you can't win. Sure we have scorers, but we need someone who can hit the J with high % - like H20 used to.

Did the Lakers or Heat win because of their PG play? I agree we need a backup for Lin that can actually play, and I think we can find one, but our SG position is pretty weak. Fields sucks and JR is too streaky.

Disagree...We were on a Baron Davis watch last year...We were desperate for a serviceable PG and all hopes hinged on a guy with a bad back...We need a PG who can get Amare involved in the offense...If Amare isn't scoring at a decent clip behind Melo next year, we are done, shooting guard or not...Looking at these last playoffs, Asking a rookie in Lin to guide us thru meaningful playoff games is nuts, good luck...

Kudos to knixfix for mentioning randy foye!

Hes the answer...he can shoot lights out and he has pg skills...

Im so happy someone thought of him...now can we afford him?

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
SG is the priority
