Obviously the last two seasons have been very incosistent and disappointing since we won 1 playoffs game even though we got all this talent now. My question is how far do the Knicks have to go to make us satisfied? I'd say that if we got to the ECF and came up short i would at least be satisfied. Now i admit melo and amare arent my favorite players but i still root for them since they are the stars of my team but they have to be much more successful next year otherwise it will be bust. If we get eliminated in teh first round and have an up and down regular season taht wont be acceptable

Great question..2 yrs ago...42wins...this yr...equivalent to 45wins
..so id hope for 50 wins and a ecf appearance...play miami tough
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

That's the min since this is three years into the cap-space plan. If we spent 3 or 4 years just clearing cap space to then build a team that loses in the first or second round 3 years later, then that's almost a whole decade post-Isiah wasted.

Agreed. also I dotn wnat to hear the word patience anymore. this team this past year was expected by us to be a deep playoff team and we won one playoff game. I think this is the year we find out if the melo trade was a bust or a good trade

Exactly next year is the year. Make or break. If they fail to make it out of the first round then blow it up. The fact that you guys feel there is hope of getting past the first round just proves my point that you believe in woodson, melo, amare, lin, chandler & shumpert so I rest my case for the rest of this offseason

At the very least: home court in the first round of the playoffs.

If they get eliminated in the first round under any circumstance then it's time to break the team up.

So we all agree that this "clumsy" team consisting of Woodson & Melo is good enough to make the playoffs?

They already made the playoffs................

Is that "good enough" for you?

Why do you keep accusing people are saying they have no faith in woodson/melo. Honestly i'd say 9 out of 10 knick fans love woody and think he is the right fit. When it comes to melo i think many of us started to belive in him more the way he performed the last half of the season. i think the only thing people worry about melo is if he will be able to remain focused on both sides of teh court and try to get his team more involved for an entire season

We endured 2003-2010 for the team we have now. That is why this team is such a lightning rod. And we have too much talent to view a mere playoff birth as success. If we are healthy and we are one and done again, this era is another failure.

For the record, I still see us a being able to compete with anyone. The biggest question marks are STAT and if our offense comes along.

I agree 100%

I would be displeased with a second round knockout

everything else is gravy

Expect? Since we are being told MElo is a top 5 player and Woodson is a better fit than the best coach in the world I would expect a championship. In reality, I think we'll be lucky to get out of the first round.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!
