Do we really need another SG who is a streaky shooter? Let's get a pure PG who has the potential to be a backup PG in the future (Machado, Jardine, Halloway), or a pure shooter (English, Kevin Martin, etc.)

Gees Ive never seen him play but he looks like he has NBA lottery type skills--kind of looks like a young Ricard Jefferson. I usually catch most of the guys--never saw him once. I cant imagine that guy not going in round 1. His physical talent looks very very impressive---length athletic ability could stand to put on 10 pounds but can handle looks like he can drive pass shoot. What is the difference between him and Jeremy Lamb other than Lamb's jumpshot(although they did shoot a comparable 3 ball% wise) Im on board with this--but I doubt he lasts to where we pick. We'd have top get a late first round pick to get him and quietly promise him. No way no way no way is he going round 2. Greta find by the way Matt--really really good-looking player here.

I like the handle, hops, and finishing ability. If he has any sort of jumper, then it could be a steal. If not, then maybe Holloway, Jardine, Machado, or DJO is the way to go.

Pac-10 guys always seem to get under evaluated by scouts year after year. He seems intriguing.
Here's a write up Fran Fraschilla did on him:
Jared Cunningham, Oregon State Beavers

Jared Cunningham spent almost all of his three years as a Beaver at shooting guard, but he had the ball in his hands in most key situations for Craig Robinson's team. So, given his physical attributes, including excellent speed and quickness coupled with better-than-average court vision, I think the 6-4 guard could increase his value to teams that think he can make the transition to point guard.

Notably, Cunningham thrived in screen-and-roll situations and in transition, where he accounted for 1.3 points per possession as a passer. And he turned it over on just 6 percent of his transition possessions, according to Synergy Sports. In addition, his elite athleticism accounted for more than seven free throw attempts a game the past two seasons because he attacks the basket.

As a bonus, Cunningham is one of the best perimeter defenders in this draft. His combination of quickness and anticipation gives him a chance to contribute eventually as a defensive stopper.

So, where are the holes in his game? To make a smooth transition to playing, at least part-time at the point, he must tighten his ball handling. And, although his outside shot is not broken, he must improve on the 34 percent he shot beyond the arc this season. Finally, like a lot of players making the transition to the NBA, he must get physically stronger.

Considering this draft is devoid of great point guard prospects, Cunningham will be a nice gamble later in the first round. At worst, he'll be a secondary ball handler who can defend both guard positions. But I think he's better than that.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

This guy is a stud(no not the manly kind:)but this guy is a player. Id key on him if we could--this kid has lottery talent.

Its the 48th pick. If he's the best available talent then you take him.

He's a PF that woudl have to play SG. Basically, Landry Fields replacement

Scott Machado....totally underrated. Pure PG with serious PG instincts. Averaging about 10 apg on the college level is pretty rare. Local kid. Give him a look.

Jae Crowder - 6'5
I know motor and toughness can make up for a lot, but I don't want a guard sized forward.

David Stern: "Tomas Satoransky, Prague, Czech Republic..."

6'6, 207

(because we need guards)

Weaknesses: One-on-one game needs improvement for the NBA ... Lacks an in-between game (in between what?), his shot off the dribble is not very solid ... In general he’s not very good to create own shot (his job is to create for others)... Despite his strong body is not a good rebounder (we have Tyson and Shump for that)... Plays the PG position but may need to transition over the the 2 position for the NBA (sez who?)... Needs to become a little more assertive, (vocal leadership) particularly if he wants to play PG ...(can be fixed once he gets comfortable in NYC)

Strengths: Certainly one of the most complete guards of the young generation in Europe ... Tomas is a point guard with great size, excellent vision and ability to pass the ball ... Physically strong, allowing him to easily finish near the rim ... He is a good spot-up shooter, with range out to the three point line ... Shooting is not his first offensive option, but in the last Eurocup season he averaged 43% from the distance ... He's a smooth player with a quick first step and a strong ability to finish in traffic ... He also possesses standout athletic ability by European standards (he's a spectacular dunker!) ... He has a winning spirit, and always competes hard ... He is also a good defensive player because of his desire, athleticism and the versatility to defend multiple positions ...

Do we really need the Euro scouting report?

Please refer to Gallo, Rooster. Moz, The. Wise, Frederick.
Knicks don't do Europe very well.

Move on.

British Ball? - Can't.

The Answer Man Doesn't Care Where You Are From

jrodmc wrote:Q. Do we really need the Euro scouting report?

A. Absolutely.

Basketball is basketball and ballers can come from anywhere.

Olajuwon. Ewing. Dirk. Divac. Gallo. Turkoglu. Deng. Ilgauskas. Ginobili. Tony Parker. Mutombo. Nash. Gasol.

Kirilenko. Okur. Hilario. Radmanovic. Azubuike. Barbosa. Nocioni. Kristic. Biedrins. Nocioni. Diaw

Marc Gasol. Scola. Calderon. JJ Barea. Bargnani. Ilyasova. Fernandez. Gortat. Casspi

Pass on international players at your own risk.

Great catch Dr Alphaeus. Speaking of the beach...How could I forget Mychal Thompson?

Reminds a little too much of Pete Michael.
