1. Kidd - Mostly for his D and tutoring Lin
2. Belinelli or Courtney Lee - Start while Shump rehabs & stretch the floor, make things easier for Melo & Amare
3. Odom - Rebounding next to tyson and defense, Perfect player to platoon with Amare and even backup Melo at times. Tyson, amare, odom frontcourt NICE!
4. Young PG through draft or nbdl to develop and eventually backup Lin and push tempo

That's my dream Knicks offseason

Continue to develop Jorts & Jordan.

Let JR walk if need be he is not efficient enough to play with Melo, Amare & Lin . Odom & Novak can compete for 6th man until Shump returns to the starting lineup and Belinelli becomes your 6th man.

man take Lamar's over emotional ass of your list. Can you imagine this cry baby wimp surviving New York....dude would probably jump off a bridge.

I would love to have JKidd (even as a geriatic). Dude's basketball IQ alone is worth a roster spot. Bellineli can at least hit a jumper but, how is New York supposed to afford either much less both of them.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

By letting jr & fields walk and hopefully Lin takes a little less which would not surpride me and we get Novaks bird rights. Wave TD eventhough his assine contract extension will still count against the cap.

All those guys are attainable....Dallas low balled themselves by banishing Odom....Belineli is cheap and Kidd might take vet minimum money at this stage to be in NYC for his twilight years.

If the Knicks won that case, my dream pickups would be OJ Mayo for the mid level (Memphis is trying to avoid tax), Jason Kidd for the bi annual, and Marcus Camby for the vet minimum. This would solve all of our current issues.

He said he would love to play in new york to finish his career. Although he may stay in Dallas if they get Dwill. He said he would have no problem backing up dwill at this stage in his career. We'll see. I rather have someone with experience backing up Lin and then a young 3rd string to develop as Lins backup. If anything wede to hapoen to Lin I dont know uf you can trust Flynn or TD for an extended period of time. Kidd Is old but he still defends and can run a team with talent.

Odom might come for Vet min unless he is afraid of ny. Lin & Novak bird rights & split the Mle between kidd & belinelli or courtney lee. Wait you cant split the MLE right? Shit! Kidd would have to take min which ibwouldnt put it past him.

Kidd has a ring. If he hangs around for more years it will only be for the money. No one does favors in this league it's all about the Ring and the money.

Does Kidd really need the money with all the money he has made as a top 3-5 PG of all time? Unless he is TO and has 11 kids to support

I can't see Kidd or Camby coming here for vets minimum because I believe Texas doesn't have a state income tax. Why come to NY and be heavily taxed and only have to give a hefty portion of it back? That being said, I'd love to have Camby as a backup. Kidd, still don't like over his days as a Net. Odom I think would be a nice pickup.

have you watched Mayo this season. Even the fans of his team want him gone.

that said, he'd be a better option than Douglas. I wonder if they have dropped off their asking price (low 1st round draft pick plus a player.)

I've never hated a player as much as Jason Kidd, well maybe Lebron but I will always root for the Knicks uniform

Would love to get Odom. He's from Ny and I'm sure would be motivated to play here. Odom is about as good a PF you could pair with Melo. Odom is a beast on the boards, is an excellent passer-ball mover, can shoot with range, great ball handler for his size and really understands how to play the game. Plus, Odom is versatile enough to play SF/PF and can interchange with Melo.

If we catch a break on the Bird rules with Lin, Odom would be my number 1 target this summer.

Whats the going rate for a 40yr old PG who broke down last year is best suited as backup PG at this stage in his career. Any idea?

I can't be mad at that. Not like he ran his mouth ala Jefferson. Kidd killed us everytime we played because of Steph's dumb as comments about being the best and even stated he was better than kid. They say Kidd from then on made it his mission of destroy Steph whenever they met.
