And even if they don’t win the series against the Lakers, after last night, THERE IS NO QUESTION that they have had WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY more success than us since the trade.
But what do they know? After all, they are just a bunch of ROLE PLAYERS RIGHT?

I really don’t care much about Denver (ok may a little since I want our ex players to do good anyway) but this is just as clear as water now.

Ty Lawson is a team-first star who hasn't even entered his prime yet.

We don't "Care" but its like when you get a new girlfriend. YOu may be happy but you also know your old girlfriend is with a new guy. You always want to be "happier" then the old girlfriend and you inquire as to "how they are doing".

When you hear "They are doing great" and learn the new boyfriend makes more money than you and takes longer and better vacations and has a nicer car it does not really matter, but it kind of does.

We might be happy with Melo, but the Knuggs are doing better than the Knicks. They did in the regular season and now taking the Lakes who were red hot going into the playoffs 7 games. Denver is excited about the future of their franchise.

We might not care, but its a measure of some sort.

Right now the old girlfriend is doing better than we are.

Take away Denver's starting point guard. Then take away their back up point guard. Then take away their starting 2 guard. Put a cast on their power forward's hand. Take away their best defensive guy off the bench. Then tell me how they would do against the Heat.....not the Lakers.

Great response. ITs like "oh yeah, well take away the dudes money, nice vacations and car and then what?"

They still went 38-28 in the regular season. They dealt with injury and roster changes as well.

They traded their star for Depth and added it to other assets they had.

We did not have depth. Our starting pt guard is a 23 year old near rookie who rose from the ashes into a pop sensation but we don't know his true capacity. Our backup we signed to be on our DL list and knew he was 8 weeks until he could play, and then we had no idea what we had. Put a cast on power forwards hand? You mean the rookie who developed and got more an more minutes as the season went on?

They traded Melo for depth. Thus, they were not susceptible.

Give them credit. And what they do has nothing to do with our success or lack of.

We don't have a base line of what the knicks can or cannot do. On paper its awesome. But we have yet to take a large sample and demonstrate success. 7th seed, 1-4 bounce in the first round. Big money tied to 3 players and no draft picks.

it is what it is.

Did that really happened to the Knicks on the first game of the Miami series?
Because as far as I know, they got blown out on the first game and they had most of their players. That was their most embarrassing performance in this playoffs.

Is their back up point guard also 40 years old (or at least with the body of one?) and is their power forward also an idiot who would swing at glass with an open palm while walking past it?

Denver isn't mentally weak like our team. No reason to try to compare them.

Having Andre Miller plus Portland's 1st round pick would have been nice

Our back-court is very shallow and our big three have 30 years of wear and tear. We should expect to continue to have more injuries than most teams.

It never really sunk in- but Chandler was also drafted right out of HS, like Amar'e.

Melo is the youngest and he played one year of college.

The window of opportunity for this squad of starphuck stars is really 2, 3 years max.

And I said this in another thread - I don't think the big three are ever going to have as deep a roster as they did this year.

I don't know Denver wasn't playing Miami. Lakers with out Jackson is a team that is a shell of it self.

It's even worst when you didn't want the old girlfriend to go in the first place. This sucks! 7th seed and bounced in the 1st round, not to mention the Heat gave us a pity win in NY. We are forever gonna be the bridesmaids as long as Dolan is running things.

Could be wrong, but they aren't they missing a large part of their team depth- Rudy F, Wilson, Chris Anderson, and they traded away a pretty good big man in Nene during the year.

Yet they are still standing at this point, and to be honest, they are infinitely more interesting to watch than the IsoKnicks.

And for the Knicks, getting Lin and what he brought to this team was not part of any master plan on the part of Knicks management... it was shear luck that he turned out to be a hidden gem.

Totally agree, plus the Knicks didn't have all those injuries the the first game of the series when we were blown out of the building.

so you the the Knicks would have finished with a 36-30 record if Damtoni was fired sooner? I think the Knicks wouldve easily finished 3rd ahead of Indiana and Boston. Denver finished 8th and have no shot at getting to a conference final nevermind win a title.
