Saw this somewhere where Steven A. Smith suggested a trade between the Knicks & Orlando.

Chandler, Amare & Lin for Dwight Howard & Jameer Nelson

If Orlando throws in Ryan Anderson & Dwight is healthy, I make that trade.

Nelson has a year left on his contract; as does Chris Paul.

Potential Knick line-up:

Pg: Paul
Sg: Shumpert
Sf: Melo
Pf: Anderson
C: Howard

Deal is a no brainer. I dont think we can sign and trade Lin though if its for more than the MLE.

The knicks have the right to match any offer - its not unrestricted. No favor needed.

Yes that is what I am saying. Plenty of teams have the MLE. We have to entice him with guaranteed dollars.

Knicks can't sign Lin to more then the MLE and he has to sign an offer sheet to have a say in the matter of where he is traded.

If the team matches an offer sheet and retains their free agent, then for one year they cannot trade him without his consent, and cannot trade him at all to the team that signed him to an offer sheet. They also can't trade the player in a sign-and-trade transaction (see question number 88).

and Tyson Chandler! For a guy who can't be on the floor in the end of a playoff game cos he shoots 40% from the line

I don't want to trade Lin but everybody is expendable in the right deal.

People have very short memory. They give up on others quickly. I wonder if they give up on their children this easily as well.
