i love how this team played to finish off the year, but i think alot of changes need to be made if this team wants to be a serious title contender. sure getting lin back will help a ton because he's a pg, but we need a true floor-general out on there. someone that can feed both melo and amear, as well as having the balls to wave carmelo off when he tries to bring the ball up, which he has done a ton. the ball doesn't always need to be in his hands.

we also need to find a solid backup center, starting sg (the fact that landry plays a position that has SHOOTING in it is sad - hopefully shump can come back healthy) a bonafide 6th man (jr wont cut it) and general bench depth.

we are pretty cap-strapped so i'm not sure how this will all be accomplished.

and oh yeah... i don't think woodson should be a shoe-in for the coach. sure the record was great but he made a ton of head-scratching moves this postseason. his offense is horrid and if phil jackson wants the job, i hope he gets whatever he wants to take it.

You get Melo help. You burn up the Nets and Magics phone to get Williams or Howard.

So after that acid trip, what do we do?

Billy King's trading of Favors, Harris and picks for Williams already looks really bad. If the Nets are going to lose Williams they might trade him to the Knicks for a clunker and a pick.

When was the last time the Nets did a trade with us? Wasn't it Bernard King for Sugar Ray?

The technical term is "FISHING".
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I think its pipe dreams going for these big names. I would love for the knicks to start a winning system or find someone that can. Jerry sloan did it for years with guys in UTAH! I know his name got thrown out a lot before PHIL ACTION JACKSON.

Jerry will look at carmelo in the eyes and say look im the man now, you listen. He will get his scouts on the phone and his "people" to draft the right people for the right roles. Thats all I ask for. A coach that players know I wont play tomorrow if I F UP. A coach that players want to sweat for.

Did they sweat for Woodson? At times they did, its just I like Sloan better. I think the challange lies in COACHING & finding the players because what we have now at times looks like a lottery team.

i really like that idea. good call, i forgot about sloan.

i wonder if dolan would give him enough power/input because i'm sure that's what he would want.

It wasn't great in terms of role players, but we had STAT, Melo, Tyson playing relatively healthy. You could easily have run PnR with STAT n Melo or Melo and Tyson and gotten a lot more done than we saw today.

We might have to split up Melo and Amare. Hopefully Lin will be healthy next year. If Lin can build on what he did this year, next year should be interesting. Will we win a championship next year? I don't know about that. These things take time.

This season turned out a lot better than we thought it would early on. Then we got lucky with Linsanity, and lucky that D'Antoni resigned. But we started out the year in a hole, then we started out the series in a hole.

On the plus side, we have made the playoffs two years in a row for the first time in a long time, we've got a promising young point guard, and we won our first playoff game in 11 years.

https:// It's not so hard.

Knicks are not winning a championship anytime soon. This organization is not well run and they will make the mistake of not getting Phil Jackson.

The guy doesnt want to come out of retirement. I mean He said he barely came back for his last year in LA and that was off a championship. I think some have to move on from PJAX unless he comes out and says he wnats to return to coaching
