Not many guys we can grab for the LLE except current underachievers or Mike Bibby's. Here is who I got so far.

FA's:

Jonny Flynn
Derrick Fisher
Delonte West
Randy Foye
Nate Robinson
Carlos Delfino
Shannon Brown
CJ Miles

RFA's:

Jerryd Bayless
AJ Price

Trade Possibilities:

Darius Morris
Greivis Vasquez

I know these arent ideal guys but we cant depend on Bibby and Douglas for another season.

I think Jerome Jordan might be able to get us Morris or Vasquez.

Bayless has some skills. Flynn played well down the stretch and hasn't seen his best days yet.

Knicks need to jump on guys QUICK when free agency starts. I think we could DEFINITELY get Flynn because of the NY connection.

We need someone cable of backing up the PG spot next year or we are toast.

Bayless would be an amazing signing. I think he'll demand more than we can offer though.

Bayless is hurt and out with a hip injury. Think he had surgery. He's definitely a dude that can chine in and give you a boost at guard. I think he is a 20pt 6-7 asssist guy. Waiting to happen. Delphino is better than fields....I'd jump on him too if possible

Flynn would be a great backup PG here, no doubt about it. Also got to look at Camby to backup Chandler. Anthony Parker could be decent off the bench as well.

Nate is the best available player in that group who we can get under 2mm. Nate has the speed playing making ability and scoring punch we need from a perimeter player. He's older he played very well for the Warriors this year in his role and would fit well behind Lin. He also gives us the luxury of having starting talent in case of injury.

I'd have to say Delonte West is the best of the Unrestricted FA's over Robinson. The guy is just not wrapped too tight. I doubt Dolan allows us to get him though. Would be great value on a 1 year deal.

Apparently he played for the minimum in Boston and Dallas. For the minimum he is a no brainer. If he acts up cut him.

I like Delonte West too. Can play either 1 or 2 and can hit the open J.

Yes, but Delante West is a head case that needs strong leadership on the locker room, besides Chandler, I don’t thing we are excelling on that department this season.
Plus if I was Melo, I would definitely tell my mother not go to attend to any game at the garden for the foreseeable future.

If Woody could rein in JR Smith, he can rein in BiPolar Delonte. If you want the most bang for your buck at a minimum salary, you'd be hard pressed to find more value than Delonte West, a career 10 pts/gm guy with 4 ast and shoots 45% from the field, 83% FT, and 37% 3PT.

Not necessarily, JR may be a free agent after this season, so he must be and stay on his best behavior. We will truely find out after he sign his next contract.

Hes improved guns. He had a 3-1 TO ratio--averaged more assist than anytime in his career--shot the ball well from 3 and was a conduit for many games the Warriors won. He's a strong upgrade from either Bibby or Davis.

Briggs, assuming we can buy a late first round/early second round pick...is there any potential help there?

I dont think we can spend the 3mm on a pick--doesn't that count towards what we can spend on vets?

Maybe!

One thing is for sure there is no coming out of the Dantoni Doghouse once you're in:
1. Stephon Marbury
2. Jordan Hill
3. Nate Robinson
4. Anthony Randolph
5. Corey Brewer

Those who escaped the doghouse and went on to have success as a Knick:
1. Lin
2. Novak
