The guy’s game and attitude are indefensible. We are 50-50 with Melo as the star of this team, while the Nuggets are winning 60% of their games. Again, you don’t subtract a star and just get better. NO more bull**** from fans about the Nuggets team, it’s time to look at our team. We are 7th seed in the Leastern conference and are about to get swept for the second year in a row.

I don’t give a **** how well he played the last month of the season. He’s not sacrificing to win. He’s not going to play unless he is getting 20-25 shots and is the man. He went through the motions for nearly the entire season and as a result we are getting our asses handed to us and are being embarrassed. He takes plays off and isn’t a good teammate.
How do you have one assist when you are double teamed all night? We are going no where fast with this guy. You need to move him while he has value and can bring young talent or pieces in return. Our future depends on three injured players: Lin, Shumpert, Amare. We have a center to hold things together, but outside of that don’t have money for a bench and god knows what our draft situation will be.

We probably can’t even beat the team we broke down to build this mismatched uninspired group of fake tough guys that let their mouths do the talking.

If the best we can hope for is a 4/5 seed going forward we need to make the move.

We didn't lose either of these games because Melo didn't pass! Who is he going to pass to?! We needed him to take 20-25 shots, the problem is he never made enough of them, and his team mates (or whats left of them) aren't stepping up enough to take some of the defensive heat off him.

People need to let the Denver trade go- if we had to rely on Gallo carrying us the last month of the season, we wouldn't even of made the playoffs. Melo got us to the post season- that's a fact (and I'm not even a Melo fan)- he played out of his mind those last few weeks, and without him we would have been sunk.

Here are the beloved Denver players that people seem unable to let go of:

Gallo- injured most of the season
Felton- over weight, out of shape, conspired against his coach and stunk it up all year
Chandler- played in China, returned, looked awful and is now out injured (again)
Mosgov- got benched, looking like he'll be an inconsistant centre.

And besides which, we had a TEAM this season- this ain't last season. We had Lin, Shump, Jorts, JJ, a centre in Tyson, Novak and JR Smith too. We just got unlucky with injuries, and no practice time this season.

The heat are winning because they are the better team- at full strength we might have been able to put up a better fight, but there's no use attacking Melo for it.

Denver is going NOWHERE. Please stop the madness.

This Knicks teams needs to get over itself and build the team around Melo. EVERYONE should be tradeable EXCEPT MELO.

A package of Chandler and Amare should bring back another superstar or more balanced players.

Melo is the ONLY 2 way player we have. Amare plays terrible man defense. Chandler has no offense. That imbalance hurts us against top teams.

I know Melo has played descent defense since Woodson took over (26 games ago) but base on his 10 years career in the NBA, I wouldn’t consider him a two way player just yet.

Agreed; his trade value is at a higher level than his value is. This would be a great example of selling high.

Melo should pass it to his teammates considering that he is shooting 36% with 3.5 turnovers and 2 assists only for the series.
And I'm sorry, but you cannot use the injuries or the lack of practice time as an excuse, a lot of teams went through the same thing and ended up with a much better record than us during the regular season.

I hear Brooklyn is recruiting.

Seriously, what a bad time for the Knicks to look this bad. I won't jump ship though, been a fan for too long.

Young, efficient players and/or draft picks - depending on what we can get. That would have to be part of a genuine rebuilding process. If it's just moving Melo alone, there's no point to it.

How insightful that everyone wants to move Melo. No one is clamoring for the missing links in this roster. No backcourt players. Fields is where he belongs, on the bench. JR doesn't want the option for next season; GOOD! He should kiss the ground that a Starks type player walks on. He is no John Starks! We can only pray that Shumpert recovers fully from his injury -6 to 8 months is gonna seem like an eternity. With no draft picks in this deep draft, Grunwald will really need to prove his mettle in coming up with some kind of backcourt to go with the players we will have left.

Dwight Howard
Kevin Durant
Chris Paul (maybe)
Dwyane Wade (maybe)

This roster needs vets.

Miami is beatable. However, the only way we will beat them is with a dominate front court. By that I mean a PF/C with a low post game.

I definitely don’t want the Knicks to trade Melo, however, while talented, I would like the Knicks to tweak Melo’s game a little bit, so he can learn to trust his teammates specially his point guard (hopefully Lin) a little more. Playoff basketball is all about good execution and Melo 41 FG% for his career in the playoff hasn’t had much success after all, 10 years is enough time to realize this.
