I really don't think Amare gets defense. He always gives up the baseline. He seems like he is trying but he just doesn't seem to get it. Not sure if Woodson can teach him or if he holds him accountable next year for not playing d. Also, I agree that if the right offer is made the Knicks should consider moving him.

Agreed send him to whatever team Dantoni winds up coaching. Even if it's overseas in Italy! Then they can be re-united and not have to utter the word defense again

don't forget amare scored those 30 plus points in nine straight games last year cause he had a pg and shooters around him..He plays better defense when he's scoring at will and getting a bunch of and 1's..
But his defense and effort since melo came on board is grusome to watch ES

Amare was able to make up for a lot of stuff with his crazy athleticism. Now that he's older it's starting to show. I don't think Amare's that lazy. He is simply lost. He can't read how the other side's offense is moving. He's the anti-Duncan.
