Funnier yet, it was called a Flagrant 2 on the floor! They went back and 'downgraded' it.

Not only did Lebron do a terrible acting job of flopping, but then at half time the interviewer asked if he was okay! FFS! And if the ref's were reviewing it, why did they even keep it as a flagrant 1?! Pathetic- the message was: don't touch Lebron- at all!

Refs were tight this game..Double tech call was bad too but 11 ft to 30+ is telling..Heat played well and we weren't ready mentally...We made no adjustments to Miami fronting Melo

I lost a TON of respect for Lebron in this game. I mean all the flopping was so unnecessary. The Refs kept giving it to them so they kept using it. SAD They really need to do something about that, but I don't see how you can account for a game officiated like this. You can't legislate your way out of a game like this. The Refs just made a decision to make touch foul calls and to overreact to every bit of contact.

That's the way the NBA wants it. That's the way it is. It's all part of the game. It's really a matter of helping the officials out. They can't really see how bad the foul is sometimes, so you gotta help them by grabbing your head and rolling around on the court like you're in agony. Woody needs to take the cue and work on this in practice.

First basketball related post by Basketball Jones. What's the occasion, probably the 100-67 drubbing.

If that was a flagrant 1, then they should've called a flagrant 2
on Joel Anthony throwing Amare to the floor, pulling his hand back
while he was in mid air.

Nice selling, LeBron. WWE and TNA would be proud.

Flopping is part of the game though. Seems like the Utah Jazz were masters of the art back in the 90's.

Officials: #43 Dan Crawford, #14 Ed Malloy, #59 Gary Zielinski

These officials were awful and should not call anymore games for the rest of the playoffs. Aren't they playoffs suppose to have top officials calling the game? How did these guys manage to ref playoff games.

First of all... I wanna give alot of credit to the Heat for coming out doing what they had to do, which was just to hustle and play "D". Unfortunately, the Knicks weren't able to do the same. Kinda felt like watching the Knicks playing the Lakers of the early 2000's (5 players vs 8 players). I thought this was the freakin playoffs????? Whatever happened to hard fouls??? A flagrant foul for a hard pick? A double technical called between 2 players talking smack while walking away from a hard foul? A technical for throwing a bounce pass to the ref? Or a foul called on Melo fighting for position against Lebron with Lebron crying like a biotch when Melo pushed him for a post position? Dammit! No wonder the Knicks were so frustrated to play hard defense after the mid third quarter. The refs never game them a chance to be aggressive on defense in this game. I could've sworn that Lebron had more free throw attempts then the whole Knicks team combined by halftime. I hope Woody has a game plan to have the players stay aggressive on defense and to have the offense move the ball around instead of being so predictable as to forcing a bad pass to Melo in the post. Just gotta make the adjustments for game 2 and hope for better officiating.

The only Knicks who shot FT's were Melo and Amar'e. I think the officials so were terrified of a 90s style brawl (newsflash: there wasn't going to be one, these are completely different players), so they decided they would call everything (in the heats favour). I remember a few games ago a commentator said that the Knicks foul on every play (they reach in a lot etc), but officials don't call it all the time as they'd get sick of it. Well I guess we saw what happens if the officials do decide to persevere.
