He looked incredible--looks 3-4 years younger. Whatever they did to his back--can I get some of that? Give the guy a lot of credit--he couldve not worked hard--hes got his 100mm but he has gone through serious knee eye and back problems and the guy was ripping people through the nets last night. He was fluid quick powerful and his shot was spot on--the guy is a fcking warrior--no doubt about it. This is a good team we have--I just dont know if we can get it together with he chemistry yet.

Incredible on offense. It looked like he's been getting tutoring on rebounding from Steve Novak though.

I don't understand why Amar'e looks so much better since he came back- I was expecting him to be a shadow of his former self (actually I didn't even expect him back at all!). He's lost all the extra weight he started the season with, and just has his explosiveness back. It's a great unexpected surprise.

I'm giving him a pass on the rebounding and defense- those are things you can't really work on when you're coming back from injury and there's no practice time- he's not great at either, but he can be okay, and we'll need that from him in the playoffs. Hope the back holds up- even if it doesn't, and he has the surgery in the offseason, his future looks a bit more promising now than it did a few weeks ago.

He looks even thinner now then at any point in the season.

The corn rows make him look 20 again. Maybe we are getting "youtube" Amare in Hologram fashion.

Amare last night was smoking. Tells me he was dogging it this season though.

At least he appears to have enough to make it until the end of his contract without killing our cap.

If Amare could just bring a little ffort on defense it would help so much. He doesnt have to play shutdown defense but if he plays average defense we will be tought to beat

your last sentence is the other thing i was thinking watching the game.

the competition was a joke.

defense? non-existent.

the cats are the worst team i can recall seeing, and it didn't look like they were trying very hard.

but amar'e wasn't playing so well under d'antoni this year, no?

was it his back or was it also something else?

remember amar'e didn't love mda when they were on phx. they had public issues.

who knows, but i'm just trying to stir the pot a bit for fun.

he's a true pro and a team guy. I drank his koolaid last year watching him instruct Chandler and the other younger guys. He plays hard, works hard and gets better every year it seems. If we have a chance in these playoffs it will be because Amare is playing like a top frontcourt player in this league... something he certainly has been in recent years.

On 2nd thought Im 100% sure if the Knicks could they would use the amnesty clause to let him go

Unreal.

We talked about it a bit in the game thread, but the high light of my night was watching Amar'e sink those jumpers. He's an entirely different player when he can stretch the defense out to 15-18 feet. I don't care who the competition was, those were wide open shots he'd been missing all year. 2010 Amar'e makes this a damn scary team. Fingers crossed.

I dont know who it was--but he almost took another player through the hoop. He cant get up like the old amare--but he can still get up better than 90% of nBA players and hes close to 6-10

i also liked those passes h emade. I know it was the bobcats but he made some nice looks to guys. I tell you if Amare plays like a beast then Miami is gonna be in trouble. I dont care how much people say teh heat are the ebst team ever they dont want to play us when we play well

His moves to the rim look really quick too..like super quick for a Point forward. Losing Weight does wonders.

I don't care that is was against a lousy team- he looked fluid and athletic - it's a huge bonus- the way this season has been unpredictable it would almost make sense for him to dominate in the playoffs - He has always been good at this time of year- I don't think Miami is tougher competition than those old San Antonio teams-
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

He has to match the production that Bosh gives Miami.

Also how do you gameplan for the Knicks now if Amare is even 80% Real Amare. Can easily be a nightmare for Miami. I also predict Baron Davis having a strong series. He's looked much better the last week. Miami PG guards have been struggling lately. Chalmers is shooting poorly lately and Norris Cole hit a huge rookie wall.

I am pretty sure that was against Tyrus Thomas! That was one hell of an explosive move. He had a few of them. But remember before he went out with the latest back injury, he was really starting to turn it on with his explosiveness and his shot was coming around as well. THIS WAS NOT JUST LAST NIGHT.

Word from Hahn is that Chandler might be out for tomorrow with the Flu! OUCH. If true, we will need Stat huge.
